Knowing issues. For all Sistem

Just type on google; well I already did for you. Engine os 5.0.1 issues:

AI Overview

Engine OS 5.0.1 users are reporting several notable issues related to the heavy processing demands of the 5.0 update. Common bugs include severe slowdowns and freezing when using Sync Manager, audio dropouts during track loading, and missing or unresponsive “Computer Mode”. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

A breakdown of the widespread Engine OS 5.0.1 issues includes:

Sync Manager & USB Bottlenecks

  • Severe Load Times: Users report that opening Sync Manager after plugging in a USB drive can take between 15 to 20 minutes.

  • Application Freezes: Closing the Sync Manager or ejecting drives causes the desktop application to become unresponsive and requires a force quit.

  • Missing Stem Files: On-the-fly Stem processing sometimes fails to complete or causes stems to disappear entirely. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Hardware Performance & Playback Bugs

  • Audio Stuttering: Loading a track onto a deck while another is actively playing can cause brief, noticeable audio dropouts on the master output and headphones.

  • Computer Mode Issues: Some standalone hardware users (like Prime 4 series owners) report that the “Computer Mode” option has disappeared or causes VirtualDJ to freeze.

  • Hardware Freezing: Long sets or heavy database operations (especially on older units like the SC5000) have led to screen unresponsiveness and require hardware reboots. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Community-Suggested Workarounds

  • Database Repair: Running a database repair and analysis on your computer first—rather than the unit itself—can significantly improve playlist loading lag.

  • Firmware Downgrade: If the bugs are disrupting live performances, many users revert to the previous Engine OS 4.x versions using a USB drive with the older firmware image file.

  • Monitor the Forums: Stay up to date with the ongoing community bug reports on the Engine DJ Community Forums. [1, 2, 3

    nothing fixed with the workaround…

I’m not entirely sure I understand the intention of this post - is it meant as a collected bug report, a general complaint or something completely else?

I have trouble undertanding the post at all.

Probably because he asked chatGPT some random question about Engine and then pasted it here and we don’t know what exactly was asked.

I recognize some issues as being a single (1!) post here on the forum, a person making this would not include it.

I have the SC5000, Prime GO & SC Live 4 and have none of these issues, in fact they all run better especially the SC5000. Engine desktop has never been slow or failed or had export issues, my external library is +91k songs (MP3, WAV, FLAC & ALAC) On a 2TB Samsung T7 SSD with no slowdowns. IMHO a lot of these issues are poor library maintenance & tagging.

Looks like the free Google Gemini from within Google Search which is usually summarizing webcontent wrong.

I would count that post as spam…

There hasn’t been a workaround

That element of the post … the only bit that wasn’t just an AI cut n paste, suggests that the original poster doesn’t understand

Is not a spam…it is messing up my gigs is not stable even crash on two diferent events. Yes I’m not happy and if you guys are happy is hypocrite. For now is just like a dream is there but right now is just like walking over broken glass you know that is hurting you and it is hurting my only job and yes I’m not a millionaire to buy a different equipment right now.

Yes there is not work around because… who knows how long it is going to take to be fixed and real usable in a real stage.

This weekend, a 5-hour session using 5.0.1 on my Prime 4… everything was perfect, zero problems as always, Soundswitch active controlling lights…

AI cut and paste is spam. Write your post properly.

If this is your only job, as you claim, then you’ll have a backup system - your workaround is to use your backup until anything which may be wrong is investigated. However as the majority of people have upgrades without issue, try working out what you did wrong, what you haven’t allowed to update yet, and try to do it properly

I’m not totally believing the post was originally created by a user, rather than a troll

Maybe you’re lucky not to have problems, but if you don’t have them, you shouldn’t be allowed to say that others don’t have them! Are you blindfolded? There are plenty of posts here and on Facebook and the internet from people having problems with this update, but no, you’re still here assuming that those who have problems are lying. If you want, I’ll give you my first two 4 Plus and you can do a DJ set with them so you too can make a fool of yourself when the music freezes! I went back to 4, 3, 4 and I don’t have any more problems!

If you’re referring to me - note that I used the word “majority” in the term “the majority of users don’t have issues”

Majority

Majority

It wasn’t directed at you! It was directed at those who deny that we have problems! And those who say that it’s our fault and the bookshop’s!

And where is someone saying that, here in this topic, precisely?

Saying “I don’t have a problem” is a completely valid response. Just like yours.

Everything is too hot around here, and I’m pretty sure that the reason is engine v5

I’m blaming the sun for the heat

There are several posts if you look on the forum, where there are people who have audio interruptions when loading tracks, including me! and some continue to give answers like, try rebuilding the library, because it doesn’t happen to us, and they reply we have already tried but the problem remains, and then they reply and impossible, it’s definitely a library problem! That’s what I’m saying, go and look through the posts and you’ll understand what I’m talking about
