I am having issues enabling both Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth on my original Denon Prime Go.
When I select them from the Control Center view, a message pops up stating that “Wi-Fi/Bluetooth is currently disabled. To see available devices, first enable Wi-Fi/Bluetooth.” However, that is not possible. The slider remains stuck and greyed out when I try to enable it. Other slider bars enable (turn on/green) when I’m under “Device” on the “Settings” tab like 24 Hour Clock, etc, but not Wi-Fi nor Bluetooth at the top. When I select the gear icon next to the slider, it takes me to the same Control Center message.
Please help.
If anyone else has had this issue and has a solution, please comment.
I have turned the unit off and back on, factory reset it, and tried updating to the latest version (v4.3.1) again from a desktop, but to no avail.
One of the options I’ve seen on here is to roll back to a previous firmware but go further back than you’d expect.
Turning a few things on and off before rolling back can bring it into life. I’ll try and find the thread.
EDIT:
I think this is one but there’s a longer thread. Returning the unit for repair is one of the quickest ways u less you can downgrade the firmware that contains a controller update.
I had the same problem with my sc live 4. I’ve sent it in for repair under extended warranty of the shop were I bought it from. Apparently the failing bluetooth/wifi card is soldered on the computing board making this not an easy repair. It is already 3 months in for repair without any news, so be prepared to have a decent replacement before going this route. My guess is that they send it all the way back to their production facility in Taiwan. If you don’t care about bluetooth you can also use an ethernet-to-usb converter and use internet via cable or connect your mobile phone via usb to the device. That can be a short term solution to get you going for a while. In my case the failure happened during a regular OS upgrade and could not be repaired by rolling back the OS.
