What was the last DJ related item you bought?

I had mine done in my country by Peter from Albepro.

Same here. Got it from the expert guy in Leusden some years ago. Unit needs a new rubberband on my end.

Yeah, Thunderdome Wizard in the house!

The Widdler - Elements is a wonderful opening track. And the other track is really cool too. Solid choices!

It’s difficult for me to name a favourite track, there is so much music out there and it’s all fantastic. The last days I’ve been listening to Gói - Elämäm Ehtoo many times:

It’s not an item, but one of the tracks that I’ve bought this year. And today I got myself the entire discography of Divinity Records, I deserve this.

Back from service, new phono leads, new tonearm cables, cleaned connections, re-greased all moving parts and the motor, calibrated the pitch and motor, as good as new. I had a grounding issue where noise was coming through the speakers with the needle on a static record, thats now gone too.

£190 well spent, are there many digital decks/controllers that are still kicking about 23yrs later? and able to be serviced back up to ‘as new’ spec?

P.S. thats Gwen Mccrae - all this love that im giving, on the platter, RIP Gwen you absolute legend.

Got some butter rugs for the sc6000ms and cut them down. Now the platters are smooove like buttah!

Those decks touching would kill me, I’m a ‘hand down the side whilst moving the pitch’ merchant, so have to factor in a good couple of inches gap between them

I’m vertically challenged, hence a short wingspan

Indeed, and not forgetting Roberta…

Both purchased on release in 1980 (Roberta) & 1982 (Gwen).

Hahaha yeah that is the downside on my part. Dancing about to nudge the platter etc.

Yeah another legend. I love Gwens version of Straighten it out.

I’ve just been looking at the credits for these albums. Like so much music of the time, the list of people involved is like a who’s who of absolute legends.

Is it huff and gamble, Ashford and Simpson etc?

Her and George’ daughter Leah does an awesome version of All his love that I’m giving, I play it at gigs all the time, big breakbeat in the background with 90s RnB vibes

I started to type it in, but then thought I can just link the info…

Thanks Bonkers isn’t it, Fred Wesley on the horns. You couldn’t even imagine that level of talent in the same studio now. The Roberta Flack one is mind blowing :exploding_head:

Stu, mind sending a link to where you got them done? Trying to find someone that’s close enough to me that I could drop them off as i don’t think I’d trust a courier
