Thank you! I’ve never taken apart my 6000Ms and have been wondering about the screens as one of them has a color temperature that is a bit warmer than the other 3.
Found this photo of a replacement SC6000/M screen and it shows two ribbon cables. One for the display and the other (presumably) for the touch surface. Does anyone happen to know the model of the screen itself? I’d like to look up the data sheet
Not really a purchase as such but finally got Djay working with DVS through the Reloop Flux.
Someone on their forum found that turning Bluetooth off on the device removes all the latency and glitches. And they are correct.
It’s still not as tight as Serato, and stuff like moving the pitch fader doesn’t have that instant bpm change feedback, cue pads aren’t quite as tight but I was still able to mix tracks together with minimal adjustments, even on my 23yr old non-serviced decks.
I’ll probably still use my lappy primarily but this is excellent.
Oh and dug out an old fold up table for one of my 45s boxes, I feel a set on the little records coming soon. The ones on the window sill are new purchases I need to mark up for my box.
I have a pair here myself and they are probably one of the best quality and balance ratio sound/construction/power/price/weight for this type of column sound system on the market today.
Outdoors is not their ideal playing area but you should easily sound events up to 300 people indoors if you are not in a room with an excessive surface area.
I used a Proel flash 8 for over 10 years as a booth monitor at gigs. It’s still being used now by a friend and still performing.
I only changed to the Bose S1 pro (another brand constantly trolled) because of the better carry handle, lighter weight and battery power. Otherwise I’d buy another one in a heartbeat.
Got a cheap Razer mic, was kind of tired hearing my stupid jokes over mixes with classic dynamic mic haha so connected this to PC and separated mic from Prime 4, and finally set up in OBS automatic volume down & return after speaking, matter of 5 minutes but my lazy ass is lazy ass
Borderline DJ related, but I’ve bought the Logitech MX Creative Console… they bought Looperdeck in the past, if I’m not mistaken.
Pricy yes, but customizable to the core. Adobe stuff is supported by default; although not all the 2025 versions yet, it seems. Ableton support is available out of the box as well.
I’ve set it up to control my most used keyboard-mouse actions in Sound Forge and I think I’ll make a custom screen and buttons layout to be used with EngineDJ soon.
I downloaded the better touch tool app on my Mac and created a custom touch strip for Capture One photo editing. It does a similar job to that but not quite as swish. Makes use of the touch strip though.
Got it working with Serato too, for loading tracks and a few other functions.
Better Touch Tool is such a gem!
I have used it for years, now.
I rebuilt my favorite touchpad gestures from Snow Leopard after Apple canceled them on newer OS (e.g., useful 3 and 4-finger swipes).
