For that money I can have 2 used SC6000’s or 2x 5000 and a mixer. Giving me way more feature packed 4 decks.

I get why the jog wheel is only 5.8 inches, seeing as it’s a jukebox-style player, lol.
Plus, they kept the same type of coating on the jog wheels as the Opus—the kind that starts peeling off after a while.

Give them a break. Takes a long time for AT/Pioneer to implement cranial rectal extractions.
Crossfader said that they’ve been told that AT are working on a future update that allows for the creation and management of playlists on the units themselves. When that eventually happens, DenonDJ might want to consider bringing out some new hardware.
Doesn’t sc6000 do that already?

I am honestly really happy with the news today and even more glad I decided to have sc6000 players at a home. Every new release from the competition just highlights more and more how Denon was on the forefront of technology in 2017…

I’m well aware of that. I’ve had 6000s since 2020. My only point was that feature is going to appeal to a lot of people. Being that Denon have already implemented it, they might want to get hardware into the hands of people that would otherwise consider getting AT decks instead. The SC6000s are so sporadically stocked world-wide that nearly everyone thinks they’ve been discontinued. Hell, none of us can even say for certain whether they have been or not, and we hang out here. It would be a shame that if that feature took off because AT finally adopted it, but because Denon have been slacking on hardware, they couldn’t also cash in. I know it’s strange logic. It’s just what I was thinking about when I heard Crossfader talk about it.
In other words, regardless of how cool a feature is, or how desired it is, those who would purchase new hardware for that feature aren’t going to rush out and buy 6-9 year old gear. They will want something new. Denon should capitalize on that before AT do.
You laugh. They’ll add their own NoSongRequests tipping feature and take a cut.
Well, I do not completely agree new hardware being necessary for the sake of new hardware. But I am aware that many DJs are just gearjunks 
Engine OS however doesn’t come without quirks. Laugh all you want with Pioneer (I do too), but I hope everyone here also realizes that Engine OS has enough quirks to be laughed at too…
And thats where I agree with you, if Pioneer catches up with features like playlist editing, a loop encoder on the hardware, the reasons for buying Denon hardware just got fewer. Time to get those quirks ironed out so balance is restored
For today. IMHO major differences between inMusic and Alpha Theta are single ownership and large product portfolio and VC and monolithic portfolio. One has resources for innovation the other offers shareholder profits.
Do I have an issue with the CDJ-1500X? Nope not from a ID design standpoint, but from pricing and predatory subscriptions? Absolutely.
