Something like that.
Comment section is fire
Ouf⌠havenât seen that yet. Now this is pretty sobering.
I am not surprised by those comments at all.
They always say that it would be hard to transition from pioneer to the denon. If you take a good look at both the cdj and the prime most of the common buttons and stuff are in the same common place on both.
When denon made the S.C. prime series they wanted pioneer users to also make a smooth transition over even to the point of reading rb drives on deck.
This fact seems to be omitted by the privileged reviewers.
Switching from Denon to pioneer is a real headache tbh. Bc the interface, while similar, is wildly unintuitive compared to Denon!
Please note, Crossfader actively ignored Denon until they started selling Denon hardware in their shop.
You cannot get objective review from people who earn money by selling you the same gear because you cannot know on which brand they have a higher commision.
Denon can no longer be ignored by anybody now.
This video reminds me of Technics âlast hurrahâ attempt before CDJs took over as the standard. Anyone remember this:
I think weâll be posting âremember thisâ photos of the 3000 in a few years.
I remember this⌠Cdj1000 and sldz1200 were released about the same time. Both with some real issues.
After releasing the 1000mk2 technics had no answer. At that point there was no discussion anymore. pioneer became leader.
Am i right or missing something?
Re-phrasing this for 2023:
âAfter releasing the SC6000, Pioneer had no answer. At that point there was no discussion anymore. Denon DJ became leader.â
On paper, they lost this round with the 5000s. The 6000 was just the fatality move.
You might be confusing crossfader with DJTechtools
No (hint: try finding something about mcx8000 on Crossfader videos) but i guess DJTT are no different.
This is a cool setup! If I wouldnât be dependend on Serato DJ (for my more complex wedding gigs, where I still need my 15" Macbook screen, thus still hoping for eventual Prime 2 support, please Denon? :3), I could fancy a 2x SC5000 + DJM450 set for myself as well.
Ironically, I had a 2x CDJ-900 + DNX600 set a few years ago, which had been a really badass combo actually. Some stuff Pioneer did and does aint that bad. But since the release of the SC5000, well, the cards have been shuffled anew. And their new CDJ isnât going to change much here.
Never came across a gear shop on crossfader.
Just looked up their site.
It seems to be well hidden - or itâs just my tired eyes
If you are going to buy the CDJ3000 anyway, be careful!
According to the manual, the player itself is not included in the box
Source page 6: Pioneer DJ
I distinctly remember that they had a gear shop before (I did not visit their website in ages so I have no idea of the timeline when did they focus on dj lessons only).
Anyway, you will notice that in their lessons about Serato DJ they do not have a single video with MC4000 or MCX8000 or MC6000mk2.
It took some digging, but the first review crossfader ever did on their Youtube was on the Numark NVII. They also posted videos about the SC5000âs on the same week of release. I think you were confusing them with DJTT.
Before roosting me, i just says this with open mind and try new things like hardware and software. So before you says something ⌠always try/touch and explore and see what you think.
And i love my Prime 4
I have touch and even smell the new CDJ-3000(Nexus 3) and i think is a right step for the Pioneer DJ to admit that the need to change some things.
Pros
Cons
That is my conclusion so far until the update the firmware and fixed some of the
