I think it’s safe to asume the SC6000 is a part of ALL other Engine Dj hardware
Nice one Engine Team! - Great work as usual
Roll on December 11th!
Ok then great wise man, what do you do? Do you want my crypto or paypal address?
That’s mentioned in the video
They do a decent job for sure.
My YT videos are done with 4x 4K @30FPS video streams. The M2Max that I used was really good and the M4Max is even better with the composite scenes where all 4 of my video streams are present.
Aye, also still happy with my 24C M1 Max. Worse enough for me that I have to use Windows 11 on my work laptop. Crappy OS, crappy hardware. I just open Teams (the chat window) and the fans start spinning. Unbelievable. I know many Win people who switched to Mac (especially since the start of the M-chips), but not a single person who switched back. All major software for creative workhorses runs smooth on MacOS, including video editing, photo/vector, 3D, Ai, coding, music production, or DJ, including Engine and SoundSwitch.
Anyway, congrats for this release @JWiLL. I prefer the approach of letting our laptops doing the render work, just way more horsepower than those tiny RK3288 chips. Good choice. One-time fee of 10 bucks is also okay. R&D costs money and we already got plenty of free goodies.
(No video from me this time, obviously, since I don’t own a P4+.)
This is great news and well done to the Denon/Engine team a nice early x-mas present. For me I doubt i’ll use this pre render stems as my laptop is probably not going to handle it I hope the next gen devices can do real time stems.
Did a check this morning and on Windows it seems the CPU is used for rendering as per below. Far slower than the calculation in VDJ which uses the RTX4080
How did i know you would have one of those lol
Id try it out on my ipad but im not paying twice for it. I tell you what is insane, the new Mac Mini and the price you can buy it for, peak desktop PC tech.
This x 1000, my surface laptop sounds like its going to take off, only Microsoft could design software that feels like an embedded virus. What was wrong with Skype for business lol.
The great thing is, it doesn’t matter how fast or slow the stems render at home as many people will just start rendering their entire library. Leave the process running for hours or days, and once it’s done, it’s done.
If a DJ adds 100 new tracks a month then rendering those 100 new tracks for stems is easy enough to bring the stems library up to date. Storage space is dirt cheap nowadays so it’s a win/win
@Pasha For me rather than doing the entire collection I will just render stems for the tracks I will use in certain venues by playlist (mostly EDM). No point using up space for ballads etc. that will never need to be played with stems active.
where are the stems physically located? I don’t think I saw them in the original directory where the mp3s are located
I’ve updated Engine DJ to 4.2 and my PC meets the minimum specs for stems, but when I try to create stems for a track (by either method) , nothing happens and nothing appears in the Stems folder.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any help or suggestions appreciated, thanks!
Stems folder next to the database2 folder.
More detail required. What format (file type) is this track?
Just a standard mp3 track - tried with different ones, too
Is there not an extra download in order to activate the stems analysis? not tried it myself yet but im sure that was quoted.
Yep, I’ve added the Stems feature within Engine DJ already
Your tracks are stereo aren’t they? Sometimes stems can be funky with mono tracks.
