People at my work have been given written warnings for using a Bluetooth mouse. We have security teams doing site visits with scanners and if they catch anyone using unauthorised gear there is hell to pay.
Iāve been with the company for 26yrs now and itās only been the past 18 months Iāve been allowed to use a BT mouse and keyboard on my laptop, and I had to buy specific ones from the company portal that have been approved.
Our Security team obviously seem to think the danger is real.
Such a stupid answer ! The two dongles you show are receivers ! How do you send something to a bluetooth speaker with a receiver plugged on a usb port ?? Denon choose to not activate bluetooth on P4 probably because the chip was 3 or 4 version. I think that it would have been a good thing for P4 owners to have this update working, even with āold bluetooth versionā. A smartphone doesnāt need Bluetooth 5 to communicate when it is just beside the gear. One question now : Do we have to update Prime 4 to 3.4 if it doesnāt bring anything ? Or stay in 3.3 since Denon thinks that P4 is obsolete and wonāt receive updates anymore ?
Pardon me for not using the ācorrectā photo. The point was the packaging, not the specific units shown. My mistake for assuming youād be smart enough to figure that out. Guess thereās a lot of stupidity to go around?
Lol ! Thatās not my name but yours wich is the half of the word STU-pid on this forum the other part taken by your pathetic ābrotherā pasha. Heckel & Jeckel. Seems you have a lot of ennemies here seen the number of clashes with many membersā¦ Already told you : Mind your own business and get a life. Donāt speak to me anymore. Youāre not clever enoug or real dj for that. So now what youāre gonna do ? Youāre gonna flag my post once more like the little child that you are, crying in modās pants ?
Youāve already been told by the mod previously that I donāt flag your posts, and youāre still weeping about it.
Iām just here to correct your silly little assertions that you have a habit of projecting, and are almost always embarrassingly incorrect.
Itās quite a skill being so wrong about so many things all the time.
As for being a real DJ, at least Iām not using the name of well known cheesy French pop DJs because Iām too cowardly to reveal my identity on the internet.
And for the record, Iāll be back here to let you know you got it wrong again when the next update comes and the Prime 4 is still not obsolete. So remember this post, and we expect an apology.
despite the fact of hypothetic cyber attack risks here are discussed, via a stand alone controller (e.g. Prime 4) with integrated WLAN (WiFi) and which is furthermore integrated in a network and therefore
Iām most delighted that you point out that are risks of cyber attacks and we should be aware of these risks. Thank you for your advise.
Iām glad being advised. Another point will be, how to handle the risk and it is every userās own decision to handle or not
Iām not overly familiar with the Prime 4 but does it not have phono/aux inputs for channels 3 & 4? - Could you not just use a Ā£10 bluetooth receiver/transmitter to send audio via bluetooth to those channels? Granted the transport controls and screen displays wouldnāt work but the EQ and hardware effects would surely?
There is no more French than a Frenchman (and I am French)
However, it always makes me laugh to see certain people (French or not) getting lost in conjecture and speculation about the fact that equipment that has not received BT will no longer be updated in the futureā¦
The poor risk once again making fools of themselves in a short time
Hi, BT? Mostlikely never gonna use it. Features like to add rating and change tags from the hardware, would be a greater benefit for those who seek more efficient workflow.
