Engine DJ desktop. Playlist question

Hi guys, I’m sure this has been asked already but I could not find it easily but is there any way to see which playlist a track in the Main Collection has been put into? i.e. child playlists under the main collection list.

Also is there any way to put a track into multiple playlists in one go without dragging and dropping multiple times? If not then how can I do feature request to request this feature?

No there isn’t a way to put a track in multiple playlist in one drop action.

@djliquidice is correct, except if you make smart playlists, when you drop a track in your collection, it will fall into all of those that match the criteria.

Oh, and here is a related feature request with 17 votes.

Thank you for this . I don’t use smartlists.

@djliquidice that may be the “smart” choice. I use so many that Engine DJ sync melted down. It just quit syncing many of them. I had to switch to Lexicon DJ. When I sync from LDJ I have them made into regular playlists for the USB drives.

How many do you have that it broke sync?

I finally got around to a tally… about 200 smartlists in Lexicon DJ. There were probably around 100 when Engine DJ stopped syncing correctly. But, if you read various threads here, it may be syncing all sorts of playlists can become problematic, out-of-the-blue, with Engine DJ.

@djveleno reports a solution in the above thread.

I’m still converting playlists to smartlists. But, for the most part I can just drop a properly tagged track in the collection and it falls into many of the appropriate smartlists. The exception is the Sets category of playlists.

I wrote that I found the solution! In the post you mentioned, no one had found a solution yet, I think?

Yep, I saw that and mentioned it below the link. I hope it holds up, but I’ve lost confidence in EDJ. Lexicon DJ is working perfectly at this point. Knock on wood.
