Pioneer, still flogging the dead horse that is their ‘in/out’ looping functions.
There had been the flop with the DDJ-RXZ and the XDJ-XZ, despite the shortage of components.
The XZ demand wasn’t as crazy as that, at least in the store where I used to work (the Star’s Music group) and that was reduced when they released the RX3, the little order that there was for the XZ and given the lack of distribution that there was, DJs canceled their orders and we preferred to fall back “for certain without remorse” on the RX3, but there no luck it is also distributed drop by drop!
Looks like USB-C only connection on the back of that controller, not sure how i feel about that for a ‘pro’ level item. Flimsy and easy to pull out, we could do with some kind of USB-C+ connector that is a bit more robust than the normal one.

That would be exactly the type of thing Ian… the standard connector to me is just crying out to be bent or ripped out.
Its interesting there is a lack of any engagement RE: the new mixer on the Serato forum, i would have expected a lively thread discussing it by now.
Different story for us on XZ. We couldn’t keep them in stock and they sold out the moment any of them arrived. People are still waiting for them actually!
Do agree on this. Overall not a great option for Pro users. Not a fan of that trend.
Just checked out some more about the mixer. Main thing I’d love to see on the x1850, is the ability to save/load user-settings (which I kinda do miss).
And to be fair, the center-lock function is pretty sweet as well.
But other than that, not much news under the sun imo…
I really like the dedicated Mic strip on the new pio mixer. But I can’t understand why there isn’t a compressor/expander on the mics. More useful to me as a HP Baxter sound alike effect.
What is that… thing ??
Is it even standalone? It has RB/Serato branding.
The gold is unreal, Xbox 360 massive
I really hope this one’s a photoshop joke and not the actual pre-images of a XDJ-XZ MK2… This can’t be a Pioneer?? What a Horrible design! I wouldn’t give two cents for this thing just my two cents!
It looks like a kids toy… This one has to be a bad joke… If Arnold saw this thing he would probably say… “You’re One Ugly Mother F@&$ker” and get to the chopper ASAP!
yuppers! Dreams do come true
Does it have a slot for my Atari 2600 carts??!
It looks like a supermarket own-brand product, found on aisle 18, next to the firelighters
