Attention ! Pioneer promises heavy lol

Yep, Pioneers poster boy won’t use their flagship media players

Thank you and corrected! :blush::+1:

As far as I know he doesnt like the jogwheels and layout

He uses 4 CD3000s in his house where he does most of his youtube videos.

Last one he was on 2 2000nxs2 and 2 3000’s Recently he walked off stage in Brazil because is technical rider was CDJ2000’s and only 3000’s where available :man_shrugging:

My mistake, i thought he had 4, also, i thought he walked off because he couldn’t see due to the amount of smoke unless that was a different venue.

I’m from Brazil - everybody here says it was equipment related - but who really knows? Only him

The hot cues on the 3000s misfire when pressed too rapidly due to a changed button design vs the 2000nxs2. That’s why he does not use them.

Someone should send him an DN-X1700 for his CDJ-2000s.

Now…… I don’t hate this. The subscription stuff I do hate. But the app looks slick.

Amen to that.

Yeah I agree, the subscription is such a bad deal. I wish they’d charge a one time fee for the app. I doubt most people will be using the app for more than a year without moving on to something else anyway. I’d be less against the subscription if Pioneer had a track record of supporting software with regular feature updates.

And lets be honest, Pioneer aren’t the only culprit here, it seems most software companies are trying to go down this route, Adobe etc.

I despise the narrow mindedness of it, its like the companies cant see past the end of their own noses.

So whoever already has an iPad or an Android tablet OK, he will just have to buy the DDJ FLX4 which costs 320€. Whoever has nothing or tablet or iPad and the FLX4 the future user will have to pay 500 euros at the lowest, to have something that runs like a clock and see a little more than 700 euros. Even if it means choosing as much to buy the Numark Mixstream Pro or Pro plus and I’m sure the Numark will have more functionality!

Subscription cancer :poop:

Waves Audio (VSTs) is another company which just has given in to this bullsh1t.

For actual content which is getting updated/renewed, like streaming videos and music, it’s legit. But for mere software products it’s just stupid. Even more if you already pay a premium for the hardware (Pioneer).

I hope Akai/Air and Denon will never-ever follow this path.

About the only things that i pay monthly that don’t annoy me is Xbox game pass, Prime and Netflix, because im getting massive amounts back in return. The thought of paying someone like Serato a monthly fee for their half arsed updates and discontinued hardware support is laughable, same with Rekordbox, the fees for that are ridiculous.

To quote the great reset

“In the end… you will own nothing. But you will be happy”

I’m with Stu on this, I only pay monthly for stuff like Netflix, Prime and Disney Plus because I get massive amounts in return. I recently cancelled Apple TV as I hardly watched it. I pay for the Playstation subscription just to play Call of Duty online as its a get home from work stress reliever being able to shoot people

I won’t even have a phone contract Jay, complete rip off… Sim only for me (although work pays for mine right now).

I think this is the massive issue with all this sub model stuff, each company is assuming the people who subscribe only have their thing to pay for, they dont realise that by the time the average person with some hobbies and interests has finished they can accumulate hundreds of their chosen currency paying for subs to various channels.

I actually did something completely out of character recently, and that is subscribe to a YouTubers extra content… its a woodworker and his channel is that good, and he saved me that much Tim and money doing DIY, that ill happily pay 4 quid a month to him for the extra access.
