I responded to your comment about how it would look pretty. Loz. I agree it shouldn’t look ugly, but I despair at these “illuminated kitchen floors” that some “DJs” surround themselves with, usually making a worse noise than the original radio edit ever achieved. Haha
Another line of thought is this… would anyone ask the worlds best DnB DJ (if there is such a thing) to DJ at a Country & Western gig, or book the worlds top Techno DJ for a 8 year olds kids birthday party?
So, with inMusics plethora of talents, perhaps it would be better to get Akai to make a sampler which could work with any system, to maximise sales, but design it to have some clever Prime integration., beyond the pensionable midi connections, or simple 6.3 mm Jack in out loops.
A sampler that could do 20 things on anything you connect it to, but does 30 things if you connect it to Prime gear
What if this sampler would be also a send/return XY pad effect processor with effects macros under the pads that You would assign yourself, denon dj link grabbing looper and traktor remix decks style sampler in one?
Exactly! Don’t just do a one for one of Pioneer’s unit, or anyone else’s for that matter. Improve on it, make it so that Denon has something no one else has!! After all Denon want to take the monopoly from Pioneer, the more they can offer the more people will want to jump ship. They’re already innovating beyond Pioneer so if they did bring something out I’m sure it would be something special!
I already did, but I can’t syncronize the bpm of the Force to the bpm of the SC5000 players. Midi coming out from the X1800 is not working as expected. An ethernet connection to use the DenonDJ ethernet link port could be used to sync the Force and the players, exactly the same way that the x1800 syncs with the players.
Already posted this issue in this forum and in Akai forums, but I received no answer
An alternative option would be to add a sequencer/sampler/loop player directly into the players and sell a USB controller to add extra buttons.
A Pioneer DJ DDJ-XP2 style controller could retail for £300 and open up a hidden sample player within the Engine operating system that only shows once it is plugged into the rear Prime USB port.
