What will be the next Denon hardware to be released

Maybe you can invent something which has the features of an SC6000 booth, but folds into your pocket?

Compromises have to be made… Few weeks ago I removed my Wah Wah pedal from my guitar rig so I could just put my Kemper Profiler (the floor unit, not the toaster :face_with_hand_over_mouth:) into a backpack together with cables and accessories: Les Paul in one hand, Kemper profiler bag on my back, and if I have to, my guitar speaker can in the other hand. One less run to the car! Guess what the drummer said at the next rehearsal: ā€œwhy don’t you use a Wah Wah with that song?ā€ā€¦ no thanks, I said, I am downsizing, period. Same for all the extra guitar I could carry for all sorts of funky tunings, used in one song only, but just don’t.

Same goes for our DJ rigs. I choose to carry a SC6000 set because of the 2 screens which are handy in our back to back sets. I could also use a prime 4, one less run to the car, but we’ll be confronted with the downside of that all night….

As for extra hardware: I think the SC6000 is a rather complete platform. Apart from software improvements I don’t think much else is needed. Maybe something in the entry level, but hey, if you pay peanuts you get monkeys… oh, maybe a prime 4 with 2 screens :hugs:

A pair of SC-6000s and a 4 channel mixer in a flight case, now there’s a good solution as a ā€˜4 channel controller’

Your train of thought with the guitar pedal is exactly how mine was with the choice of Prime… oh and the Ā£1200 offer price at the DJ shop. The Prime 4, whilst being an awesome piece of gear was just a bit too chunky for what I wanted for my bar work, mainly down to how big it would be once you involve a case. I was replacing a DDJ-SX2 so wanted something standalone but as close to that size as possible.

Ouch, My back hurts just by the thought of it

Lack of Serato may have contributed.

I would have bought one if it did Serato.

Could not really square the circle of adding a prime4 to what i already have.

Im secretly hoping for a LC6000 mini. I’d love to add some external transport controls for channel 3/4 on my prime 4 but the LC6000 is too big to add to my setup.

Laidback Luke seems to have left the Denonship (His Tomorrowland set was on Pio-Gear) but he is teasing new hardware on his TikkieTokkie.

Checked some TikTok vids just yet. He seems to not use the Pioneer players, but a Traktor Z1 type of device. Promoting the inexpensive way of DJ-ing, as he stated as well, I guess?

I don’t use that platform but just looked on insta and the last few reels he posted are all with the Traktor device and what looks like Djay Pro on a phone?

He’s been using DJay & his iPhone for a while. Connected to an SC6000 for control.

I’m more interested in the 2 channel mixer on this though. …is this the start of another round of Guerilla marketing by Denon for a new product?

clearer view on this one

Ah, it’s just the reloop mixtour ipad/iphone mixer thingy

With custom chroma/coolorcaps knobs. And it’s nice to see this kind of ā€œlet’s not pretend I need this 4xCDJ club setup for mixingā€ attitude from a headliner.

Yep it’s a Reloop.

good point, but how could Denon not make it compatible with Serato

A good mixer would be nice. It doesn’t even need to be under the Denon brand. If Rane could bring back the 64 but with Engine compatibility, I’d highly consider it.

I’ve got one of those! Bought for backup some time ago, but (so far) not used at a gig.

The only thing it looks to be missing for me is a set of nudge buttons in case the track drops out of time, unless it’s some shift function maybe?

For as long as I can remember, the only time Denon drops a 4 channel club mixer is when it’s alongside a new Media player. x1500 = DN S3000/5000, x1600 = DN S3700, x1700 = SC 2900/3900, x1800 = SC5000/5000M, x1850 = SC6000/6000M…so unless they have a new Media player on the way I wouldn’t hold my breath when it comes to a new mixer

If Denon DJ were to introduce a new player and mixer I think they will do it as a combo in January 2024, as was the case with the SC5000/X1800 (January 2017) & SC6000/X1850 (January 2020).

Most likely Laidback Luke is no longer a Denon DJ ambassador and perhaps a Reloop brand ambassador.

He is more likely an ambassador for Djay Pro than he is for Reloop, he’s been showcasing their software on iOS devices for some time.
