Moin @SlayForMoney,
the reason is as follow: Since nearly four years I’m working with a Prime 4. And I negotiated with me this way and the solution is the only way that makes sence for me (pls. don’t let me be misunderstood)
Why training on a first class gear and then buing a smaller gear for a gig in a club or greater venue. So it only made sence for me, to buy the same equipment for a GIG to deliver first class performance which I’m unable to deliver with a smaller set up.
So it will make sence to train on a smaller gear or even on the gear same as I will use at a GIG and take the professional gear for the gig and first class performance.
So I bougt everything, and when needed, I can stow it in my car and I’m prepared if the phone is ringing at 21:00 o’clock and the GIG is starting at 22:30 o’clock.
A good scout always “is prepared”.
By the way: My first Gig was at Easter 1976 and so I think I know, what I need for a GIG. In my flightcace I always have some tools like a soldering iron, a pair of pliers, a gauge, some ortophon systems and so on with me. And don’t forget the “Prinzenrolle” (biscuits filled wiht chocolate) to eat secretly during work.
Enjoy the weekend and
Brgds BeatMaster
Now this is what i love to see, happy man with tons of gear ! made my weekend
You forgot to buy a better table.
Congratulations.
My way after many years now….is order from alixpress a 2.1amp board (2x50W@4ohm sub100W@2-6ohm), get a good solid power adapter for a laptop (12-24V@2-8A) and you’re favo (passive) speakers and sub and some wire’s. Casing is another thing, I don’t like the plastic casing, so created my own from SS.
Nice package there @BeatMaster
Hi @STU-C . Dont know how for youve progressed. But Im currently checking out Soundbar+subwoofer combo for my practice area. I like the default hidden wires aspect most
Ah im not actively looking Ben, i recently bought a Mackie CR8S to replace my broken Presonus sub, i also have some very expensive Focal Shape 50 monitors. I was just ranting about the limited ‘home Dj’ options in general.
to solve my issue of the speakers not aligning with each other when connected ive run the Focals from the booth monitor output and the sub from the master, i now have independant control of each one. Now i have to work out how to stop acoustic feedback through the needles. Im thinking paving slabs or some kind of worktop.
Those stone worktops for kitchen, you can get them made by measure
Yeah i looked into that, quite expensive so far but need to look further. I thought about some large granite chopping boards, need to source some.
Quartz over granite, much cheaper and equally as solid
Yeah fair shout. I need to speak to someone i know in that trade.
Im doing a Mojaxx and moving over to this for a while to try it out.
So far I like the clean setup with no waveforms, defo cures Serato face. I wish it had a 3 deck option, and I still need to work out how to get my DDJ-SP1 to control the 3rd deck effects (the FX assign buttons dont work so far, might need mapping). DVS is working absolutely perfectly through my Mac with both the unsupported Reloop Flux and my Serato control vinyl, happy days.
Bought the wood, made this record sorter.
First time ordered custom Dubplate record based on my audio reference. I met the requirements for dub cutting. He ask me to switch from 5" inch plate size to 7" for free without additional charges. It means longer tracks durations (both sides A+B) and louder sounding on some home audio systems. Can’t wait to unpack my package and see it. One of the best vinyl cutting services and DJs weapons.
