I should’ve been more clear a Chromebook reformatted to run Windows 10
Infatti andrebbe bene creare gli stems prima e poi gestire solo la suddivisione, alla fine un file stems è paragonabile ad un DTS con le tracce separare come strumenti!
Hi guys! So, STEMS are on the PRIME 4+… Look here: Hear The New Stems On Denon DJ Prime 4+ [Full Demo with Live Q&A] - YouTube The PRIME 4+ is the SAME unit as the PRIME 4! No HW differences at all, at least in the computing power… And that’s it! CIAO!!
Yeah we know. There’s already a thread about it. No need to resurrect this one.
Arrivederci!!
For sake of completeness:
*The Prime 4 Plus is getting a huge new feature! - General Area / DJ Lounge - Engine DJ Community
Some of the comments on this thread did not age well.
Moral of the story - never say never with technology.
Stems - coming to a toaster near you
Does that mean I can put the individual parts of the toasted sandwich in separately and it will mix it together?
I’ll own up to some of those.
Indeed, I definitely was of the opinion that it is no way possible with the current generation of hardware.
You were not wrong. P4+ has improved hardware for the new tasks. This is very clear.
P4+ does NOT have IMPROVED HW for anything… P4+ is the same as P4, that is almost aged by now… If you see the video linked before you will know that according to the speaker the two machine are exactly the same… Maybe, take a look… CIAO!
I have an old iPhone 6 that can stem and do music video mixing on DJAY.
Apple silicon is nearly 4yrs old now, yet the original M1 chip still out performs 90% of consumer PCs on the market… what makes you so sure the SOC installed in the original Prime units isn’t powerful enough for these tasks?
In P4+ it has more to lift…
Yeah but im reading that comment above as the processor in either unit isnt going to be powerful enough for this feature?
The CPU is certainly much weaker than even older Apple chips. SC players, Prime units but also the AKAIs rely on the RK3288, coupled with 2GB and later 4GB of RAM, which already was a rather weak 28nm processor at release (2014).
Tbh I am surprised they got Stems running, but also concerned that other software processes / performance get more and more compromised with every new major feature we get. Personally I could do perfectly fine without Stems, but that’s just me. We shall see how the beta progresses in the next months.
Same for me, but I’d be surprised if we don’t get the option to turn it off - general performance shouldn’t quite suffer then
Prime 4 plus has just arrived, no stems on it anywhere and I’ve updated to the latest firmware! Already got 2 Prime 4’s and this prime 4 plus is actually no different whatsoever!
Ehm. You haven’t heard that every social media channel stated it would “probably maybe go into (public) beta” sometime after the summer?
I’d take it up with the DJ shop. They are probably advertising it like it already has it in it.
I’ve noticed a few retailers not stating that it’s “coming soon”. Bop DJ and The DJ Shop are two of them.
My local is doing it the right way, as i would expect nothing less from Mike.
