What the ……. ?! I just had to check that wasn’t some old stuff from years ago. It’s not.

It seems they have only added the service to DJ software that works in line with a computer and not on any standalone devices.
Edit: if you look at recent news, they have been getting lots of bad press recently with artists pulling their music from the platform, make of it what you will.
Oh dear Spotify is back. Guess they had a change of heart. All for it!

It’s super nice that I can listen to tracks and sort them. Create new crates. But It’s not fully featured as Tidal. So for now it’s better to use a playlist conversation tool and keep using Tidal.
It’s not just Serato either. Rekordbox and Djay also added it back in.
Atomix will probably add it back in soon too, I’d imagine.

Very specific about the ‘desktop software’ part.
I think it’s only to be expected that standalone devices will take longer, as it’s a firmware change, not just a simple software update.

Yeah, I’m happy with just having it in the desktop software since there’s no STEMS, so it’s only for preview anyway. The sound quality is better at Tidal as well.
It’s perfect if you have a prepping laptop with Spotify and a Gig laptop with Tidal/Beatsource. And maybe give more love to the Engine desktop app with USB-C for direct loading and control?

Im amazed there doesn’t seem to be a Spotify feature request in there, as you say it must have been previously closed when they dipped out.

As much as I like VDJ from a software perspective they are definitely falling behind when it comes to streaming. They ignore all the threads asking for Apple music and they are also not on the initial release of the Spotify comeback.
Apple music works well on the Prime Go+ so I’d rather have it as a feature there.
For me it’s too late in the day Apple music does the job for me

Who says it won’t be in a new hardware product soon? Or the plus units?
IMHO Denon isn’t sleeping on this, I’m sure they’re 100% working on it in the background.
