Sorted Prime 4 Crossfader

Just wanted to spread and share a good storie for all Denon Prime 4 or Prime 4 plus users My Prime 4 was purchased in mid to late 2019, i have had no problems with any part of my unit. My problems have always been me not understanding fully how to use the Engine DJ software but im getting there lol. I have used all sizes internal ssd from 512 all the way up to 4tb,also used micro sd cards and all have workeded for me no problems. The same with external hard drives from 1tb right upto 8tb and no problems. Being a member on a few Denon forums i have read about lot of problems with their units, i have seen so many about crossfader bleeding or breaking, and not being able to replace as cant be bought or have to send off to have new crossfader fitted and so on and Denon are rubbish and not very helpful Lol. Loads saying grab Innofader, then there was The man that knows lol, who put up what he did and even put up the original solder version number for all to see. When i first got my unit he helped guide me through software use and streaming software. I spoke with him about my slight bleed and he took time to tell what he did to get his working and refered me back to his post and model number of crossfader, and we also spoke about the Innofader.

A day or so before i had contacted a company that was spoken about by a member, and his post said he was able to get his crossfader sorted. I contacted them and they where very helpful and even called me back,if i ever have to send off unit then they will get my custom.

28/04/2024 10:13pm I sent a ticket to Denon wishing to purchase a new crossfader, as mine had giving me a slight bleed twice.

01/05/2024 i recieved reply

02/05/2024

If your cross-fader was not mechanically broken, but only had electrical contact problems, i.e. at the end of its travel left or right you still hear the music and if you move it, you hear the music appearing and disappearing, then perhaps it it was not to be replaced.

Read this:

Yes i could have done the wire trick at each end of crossfader, as i am more than competent enough using soldering iron. But i chose to purchase a new one and plug and play, which i believe most want.
