SC6000 continually crashing and black screening

No issue, maybe a bad update

But we need new Flagship devices with new faster cpu, cdj3000 are way more responsive now

After the experience I had pal, I won’t be buying anymore DJ equipment anymore. It has put me off for life. Me personally, I am not prepared to take that risk again buying something which is mass produced with cheap poor quality parts having to go through all that ■■■■ n stress and wasting my time with people that basically couldn’t care less. I still have a Hercules dj controller and VDJ software which is absolutely superb, it has never failed me over the years and I’ve had it a very long time and everything works like it did the day I bought it. The parts inside the Hercules are far more robust then the parts in some of the stuff that’s churned out today. So all is not lost I can still DJ digitally and play my stems. Rant over

This is why I’ll never buy another Phillips product. In the late 90s, I had an external double speed (that was fast back then) CDR burner go bad. I sent it in for warranty repair, and they sent me back a bad unit that was different than the one I mailed in.

Philips… Denon, Pioneer… every electronic device may have problems. 2-3 % of them But the others work fine. Denon devices are strong built.

Well if you look for posts with positive outcomes you will inevitably find them. Regards how I treat my possessions I look after my stuff.

Silly? Your ENTIRE rant is silly. It seems that you’re just here to vent. I’ve seen posts from you both valid and those that were flagged because of them being childish.

Regardless of the manufacture, you’ll find a person who’s had a poor experience. My first Mac crashed from a bad hard drive. My last two Macs were (and still are) great. Things happen. You had a bad SC. It happens. I happen to have two good SC’s, a good Prime 4, and had a good MCX8000. I’ve had Pioneer DJ equipment that never failed and some that did.

Failures happen. Be happy, you’ve vented. Have fun with your Hercules controller and move on.

yeah you got me :smirk: I’m here for a big rant just to vent.

You call me childish and disagree with everything in my posts, yet you send me a post like that. Hypocrite! Responding to some idiotic post with “your a :bell: end” was justified IMO because they clearly are one. I think some of the responses to my posts are childish and an attempt to try and goad me into an argument for people’s enjoyment. Bit of a sad existence if that floats your boat?

Yes it is a rant, there’s plenty more rants on here if you look. You come across a very angry boy. And I have enjoyed using VDJ it is an exceptional piece of software. Have a nice life kid

Not being funny pal but you shouldn’t assume about people. How do you know I haven’t tried all avenues to try get a positive outcome?

As I said earlier:

Your posts prove my point. Most people on the forum are here to be helpful, and I respect most of them regardless if I agree or disagree. After your rants, I’m inclined (as I am sure others are also) to ignore your posts in the future.

Back at ya with the nice life. Have fun DJ.

I think there’s a bit more to it than just taking a dislike to a few posts describing someone’s issue with a piece of hardware. I think it reads fine. You’re one of these users that picks fault with others to cause an argument. I was confused to start with but as the convo went on I sussed you out. I am surprised you’re still on this forum you should have been banned a long time ago. You think your so superior.

It sounds to me like you have some underlying issues yourself, I suggest you go seek some help seriously. You are clearly being sarcastic in a nasty way to me. I have done nothing wrong to you nore anyone else for that matter you just come across as a bully.

LMAO! Sounds like self talk. Feel free to respond so that we can be done with this and move on to discussions about improving the DJing experience. The floor is yours for the last words on this. I promise that I won’t reply.

Much success in 2025 bro.

I am glad others have had no issues, that is good news. I thought forums are for a mixed opinion of views on said products??

You need to read all my posts before making assumptions.

I’ve just had a read through this thread, the part that is confusing me (outside of throwing expensive items in the bin, but each to their own on that) is why you keep replying to Gaian’s comment from 4 days ago? He’s obviously said his piece and moved on, and wasn’t particularly rude about it, so it’s coming across a bit like baiting him.

If you want robust DJ gear that doesn’t break, buy some 1210s and a hand made mixer (Boutique rotary’s for example) and start collecting records. No complex computers or cheap components to worry about that way.

So you will have read then that no one wanted to buy it either for spare parts. A second warranty repair could not be done because the ticket was closed by In- music. They assumed the first repair had been done. The unit did not switch on after a while so wasn’t effectively working, I did contact other denon dealers in the hope they can take on the repair and they told me that they don’t repair denon anymore, I was told this on the phone. They only repair pioneer. It actually went to a recycling centre for electrical goods. We call these in the UK local tips/recycling centres run by the local council.

Firstly Only one of the SC6000’s was sent off for recycling. The other SC6000 I still have which is temperamental and decides to freeze when scrolling through my playlists. I end up having to unplug the power to reboot and start again. All my drives have been correctly formatted. I think it is a bug in this new update. Because it never did this on the 3.3.0 version I think it was.

I’ve been reading some of your posts tonight you sent to people and you seem to like controversy and arguing with people. someone had to jump in to stop the silliness. Not interested in childish debates lad.

But you don’t really need to keep saying it, you told him 3 days ago not to make assumptions, then 4hrs ago, and now an hour ago :person_shrugging:…. This is before accounting for the fact the other reply you made that got deleted.

That honestly just reads like someone who is trying their hardest to get someone to react. If someone doesn’t respond to you once, then just moving on is surely the best course of action?

And you’re right it is up to you what you do, hence why I said each to their own.

To summarize all replies to this question, the answer is lesser than you might have thought. The discussion isn’t getting more fruitful in the meantime…

Was it even an objective discussion to begin with?

I’m interested to see if my player faults are common with other users? or is it just a bad batch of players that have slipped through the net?

I wish that I could have had a positive outcome, with my Denon purchases. I tried every avenue available to me at the time to try and get them sorted, so I tried to fix the jog which I realised wasn’t assessable, so god knows how it was assembled in the factory. If only I had a service manual for it. I accepted its fait and in a bin bag it went ready to take to the recycling centre sadly.
