@STU-C There are lines on the left hand side of the pitch fader. Difficult to see on some of the images though.
Yeah I saw them, they are āokā, as you say though probably difficult to see in the dark etc.
I think theyāve emulated the marker position of where they are on a Technics. By keeping the actual fader clean of lines, it streamlines the look and puts the lines where needed (at the end of the marker line on top of the pitch fader cap).
I always thought it was strange there were lines on the scale under the pitch fader but as the fader cap isnāt translucent, youāre only seeing above and below the actual current pitch. Having them to the side makes sense, especially as you can change the range so printed numbers donāt work.
If definitely makes it look cleaner now.
Why isnāt Denon producing updated modular flagship models anymore? They could have came out with an sc7000, built it to be more robust, completely revamped the mixer because itās not very durable, and doubled down on the engine prime software. Now there is no alternative to pioneer now alphatheta and their fully taking advantage, 90% of the features on the 3000x could have been an update.
What makes you think Denon DJ isnāt working on something that might happen in the near future? Who knows?

Yeah this is a pretty big stretch here, InMusic releasing a flagship player at the same time as AT just looks desperate. They can have their moment today and InMusic can just keep working hard in the background doing what they do.

True, it would be cool to see something on the horizon though since the 6000s and mixers are discontinued. The 6000 is still fire and very capable, Iāve never had any issues.
Probably preaching to the converted here, but Iād still pick an SC6000 over the CDJ3000x even if they were priced similarly. As it is, I can buy 3 SC6000ās for the price of 1 CDJ3000x. Thatās beyond taking the psss.
The only two areas Denon is glaringly lacking is the stacked waveforms between units and proper management of prepare lists and tagging from the device. Definitely not $3900 worth of ability. Also, who really prefers hot cues above the platter? Always seemed a ridiculous proposition just to be different, rather than āindustry standardā
