Since the 5.0 update my clock is never showing the correct time unless I’m at home when it’s usually connected to my internet. Is this a setting issue or do I really need it to be connected all the time in order to have a working clock!? I primarily use my Prime Go for wedding ceremonies & as a backup device. At ceremonies its nice to have that clock working.
is your battery going bad?
Replace RTC coin cell.
Main battery is good, last for at least a couple hours.
Thanks, I’ll look into that!
Found this out… The Denon Prime Go does not have a traditional, user-replaceable RTC coin cell battery
(like a CR2032).[1]
Timekeeping Design
- System Clock: The internal real-time clock (RTC) and settings are maintained via integrated circuit design and system power management rather than a separate CMOS coin cell. [1]
- Main Power: The unit relies on its internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack (or AC adapter connection) to retain basic system state and power functions. [1, 2]
Further investigation (Gemini) had me cycle the time settings, basically just messing with them all and then leaving it on for at least 15 minutes before shutting it down which worked, when I turned it back on the time was correct but we’ll see if in two days when I use it “Live” if the time has reset back to 12.
“Because these units rely on internal capacitors and memory registries rather than a traditional continuous CMOS watch battery, a constant drop back to 12:00 points to a system or firmware bug. [1, 2]”
oh snap, you got me lol
Cell is 1220 btw.
