My Prime 4 power supply needs to be replaced. However, I cannot find the part needed (SPSEP10651900). Ive taken it to a repair shop but they can’t find the part either. I’ve tried various sites and have contacted InMusic and Instrumental parts who stopped responding to my emails.
I’m so heartbroken because I only had it for less than four years. It’s a simple repair, and I’m am so disgusted that Denon discontinued the part for their product that’s only a few years old. As expensive as these units are and because many of the units have been purchased, the lack of customer service from Denon is very disappointing.
Any advice on how I can get the needed part will be greatly appreciated.
Not available anymore?? A spare part of a 2000 euro device? And 4 years old???
Denon is this real? Do i have to unplug from power my prime 4 permanently?
This is a joke or true? I have a lot of time to write on this forum for my reasons but i read posts time by time.
When i had a major problem with my prime 4 in Greece the service was ok after 1 year i had the controller but what if something happens now?
The prime 4+ power supply is it compatible with prime 4?
We are our customers and we are waiting your feedback on this and general what is going on with spare parts.
I am actually located in Virginia Beach (USA) so I’m guessing that the power supply is different from the European models. However, Denon is not supporting their products and it really hurts because its an easy fix. I shouldn’t have to replace a very expensive controller that’s less than four years old because they discontinued the part needed to repair it. That’s so wrong of Denon to do this to their customers.
How can I contact Denon directly? When I go to the website, I keep getting redirected to InMusic, which stopped responding to ky emails. Is there another way to contact Denon customer support directly. Any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
I’ve also opened up my controller and see how easy it is to replace the power supply. I just need the part and I can replace it myself. I thought that even though a product is discontinued that parts to repair it was still available.
I see they list the part as no longer available perhaps they can point you to a solution?
Perhaps a blown capacitor is the culprit and a experienced electronics repair shop can put it on the bench to inspect and replace if possible? ( not trying to give false hope )
Posts like these have always given me great pause with this brand (I’ve had to repair a number of these Denon DJ decks over the years, DN-s3500 was one of the biggest offenders for blowing their IC’s off the main board and finding the replacement chips was a bear due to the main issue your running into now )
I’ve placed the order and the part is being shipped out to me. It should be delivered in a few days. I’m praying that this part will fix it so that I can get back to DJing again. Thank you again!
