Prime 4+, Pitch, Filter Volume etc. adjusted incorrect

Hello, I was DJing on a wedding two weeks ago with Firmware 4.00 and no problems.

Stored the Prime4+ since then. Put 10 new tracks on my HD via Engine Software the same way i usually do last friday. Drove to a gig on Saturday and all parameters were adjusted incorrect in standalone mode. At least i could see that the Pitch was in +4 Range and on 0 Position it showed and still shows -2.27%.

I switched to Virtual DJ and i could see, that Level Knob, High-Mid-Low Knobs and Sweep FX Knob are all the same nearly half way lower when in the middle position. When i turn them fully to the right, they are visibly in the middle position. When i push the Pitch to maximum speed it still shows -0.6% (on both sides). I guess the “Main Level” Knob has the same issue because the max sound i could generate in the club was way too quiet.

Back home from the gig (luckily i had the option to play my set with sticks on their Pioneer Setup) i put on the newest firmware update to version 4.01 but the problem is still existing. What can i do?

Kind regards, Chris

I would try a full hardware reset and reflash the firmware via USB mode

If you are using the Prime4+ in PC mode as a MIDI Controller with VDJ software, look for the problem in VDJ or on your laptop. In 99% of cases, the problem will be with your DJ software or laptop.

thanks, but i don’t find a way and the forum says that there is no way to do a hardware reset on the Prime 4. as i am in the warrenty time i don’t see me doing that as long as Denon or InMusic doesn’t tell me to

thank you for your reply. Unfortunately the problem is existing in standalone mode too.

It’s on the manual page 79

On the about/update tab/page you can reset you unit.

This feels similar to a problem I’ve had where the pitch fader doesn’t show 0% in the middle, and the pitch randomly jumps around during a song. See Massive Problem with Pitch fader
