Here’s the official rane page. It also talks about algoriddim.
Only 6… my Xone 96 has 8. Still not enough ![]()
This should get you going @NoiseRiser ![]()
We’re never short of wilfully trolling ALphabravocharliedeltaechofoxtrot in these parts, but honestly i think they are nailing it with their mixer releases so far, finally making something interesting instead of boring old 4 channel ‘club’ mixers for the skinny jean, white tshirt, crusifix round neck, sunglasses in the dark stood there with their hand on the filter knob for 2hrs crowd.
Haha, I actually bought a studio mixing desk back when typical DJ mixers only had volume for each channel, so that I could have all the gain, EQ, send, pan etc for my turntables ![]()
I sent each turntable to an RIAA preamp, then to a pair of mono inputs, panned left & right.
that is proper old skool, bet it was good to mix with though. Ill never part with my Rotary now, but i do want a standard DJ mixer layout for mixing the 45s… just waiting to see whats coming, hopefully Reloop realise they need something to go with the RP7’s.
Tempted to move this under New gear for 2026
Nice old analog desk. I got a 48ch digital mixer though.
Thank you for downloading the Engine DJ software. At Engine DJ, we know how serious music is to you. That’s why we design our software with only one thing in mind—to make your performance the best it can be. IMPORTANT: The Engine DJ v4.5.0 release is exclusive to RANE SYSTEM ONE users only. Users with other Denon DJ or Numark products using EngineOS should remain on the previous version of Engine DJ software. This Engine DJ software update also contains a change to library management that is not fully backward compatible with EngineOS v4.3.4 and older. In certain conditions, it is possible that track artwork will not be presented on your EngineOS device or Engine DJ desktop application.
I understand. Do as you feel is best for the forum

In any case, these are requests that were made for Denon DJ products, and they put them in a Rane DJ product. I can’t know if the things they added are compatible with our Denon products. In any case, it doesn’t seem to me that DJs who use Rane have ever asked for those features, and so it seems to me as if InMusic wanted to copy Alphateta! If you want the new features, pay 2,500 euros to have them in a new product from another brand!
Absolute master of the craft.
I dont think DJs define themselves by what brand of gear they are using when picking features, at least not in the way you’re implying.
The problem is that at InMusic, we estimate a hardware platform has a lifespan of 7-8 years. And 7-8 years of still using a platform that can’t handle stemming “on the fly” is a long time! A very long time! By then, the competition will have had ten opportunities to overtake InMusic in this area, and they’ll be able to boast about being the first to do it.
The current technology exists, and it’s clearly a missed opportunity for InMusic just to cut corners on a more powerful SoC for a hundred dollars. Honestly, if there’s one feature that required/justified a CPU upgrade, it’s live stemming. For almost everything else, the RK3288 platform still does the job well.
And believe me, stems probably aren’t part of your workflow right now, because it’s a pain to have to pre-render them and then export them. But the day you experience being able to use them seamlessly, just by loading any track, it will quickly become a creative tool you’ll find hard to live without. And you’ll be glad you spent the extra $100.
VDJ users know what I’m talking about.
