New gear for 2026

We are hitting mid November and to my knowledge no new gear has been teased or even leaked, complications?, delays? Possible i thought something may have at least been hinted at during the event in London but nope, if Denon sticks to their stance earlier this year then it multiple devices are going to drop right before x-mas. I like Denon but their marketing at times confuses me. Just strange nothing has been even hinted at by Denon but I guess we wait

We’ll just have to wait and see. :grin:

I’m with you on hoping for a holiday surprise(s). It has been said often here, we won’t know until an official release. We may get a few days notice if a product reveals in the U.S. FCC database. The U.S. government shutdown may be one kink. The FCC is not accepting new device authorization applications. That doesn’t mean that there are no InMusic device applications already on file that are currently confidential. The 2025 InMusic “visible” filings are listed below.

2025-04-01. Y40-ACVG = Akai MPC Live 3
2025-03-21. Y40-TSA1 & TSA2 = Alto Portable Columnar Arrat Loudspeaker models
2025-01-24. Y40-TX09B = Alto 2-way battery powered loudspeaker, probably TX412B

For more see, https://device.report/inmusic-brands

JP21 = SC Live 4
JP20 = SC Live 2
NH = Numark Mixstream
JP13 = SC6000
JP14 = SC6000M

Indeed!

And no, the marketing is perfectly fine. When nothing was hinted, well then there was obviously no reason to hint something, right? I rather have less questionable ‘leaks’ (like P4+ Stems, or Rane Performer) followed by longer delays, that actually cause more confusion in the end.

Just enjoy your current and still absolutely amazing gear, just as I do. :raising_hands:

I disagree about the marketing being ‘fine’ as i had raised a separate point 2/3 years ago regarding the apparent lack of breadth when it came to including djs outside of the EDM/House scene as part of their marketing strategy.

Then there was the whole stems issue following the p4+ being announced whilst not entirely down to Denon the way it was came across was that real time stems would become available on the device.

Don’t get me wrong I look forward to hearing what new gear is likely drop, I am just curious why Denon has potentially left it until the end of the year. Something tells me any new gear to be available to buy will likely be from March/April 2026

That’s exactly why I said that the marketing is doing ‘fine’ in this regard, of not teasing/leaking/promising something way ahead of time again. Sometimes it’s better to remain silent and let the actual product release speak for itself. And better a bit later and more polished, if needed. We are not in an urgent hurry. A new Engine software release before Xmas would be cool to see, and I think chances aren’t that bad.

Maybe not, but apart from the “plus” upgrades there hasn’t been a new Denon product released in a very long time now.

I agree, but mind, we are approaching a larger architecture/generation jump now, with the Live 3 opening the new series of upcoming Akai devices, all having much more powerful chipsets, RAM, MPE pads, design tweaks, etc. while our next whatever-device will fulfill a similar role for all upcoming Denon/Numark gear over the next years.

Pioneer had some acceptable (RX3, AZ) and questionable (Opus, 3000X) releases in the recent 2-3 years, but none of them offered anything breathtaking or revolutionary, it was mostly a catch-up game, to get at least some features added that we have since 2017. That’s what I meant with ‘not being in an urgent hurry’.

Of course I can’t wait for the next big thing to come, just like you, the sooner the better :wink:

I get what you’re saying however it was Denon I believe it was in January but certainly earlier this year who announced they are dropping the most new gear ever. We can speculate as to what those devices are likely to be for me at least two will be updates and there maybe a brand new stand out device which i hope is a 4 channel all in 1 with motorised platters that would be cool but speculation aside my issue is why hype then not deliver and if Denon seek to announce any new gear and for that to be available to buy just before xmas would be odd, as most people are not likely to have a spare grand or 2. It’s just a bit strange to me perhaps Denon overestimated what they intended and the reality is the devices are not ready or that the software itself is not yet ready to be released

I never seen those announcement :thinking:

You got a source for us?

Jason from In Music at Nam this year said there was a number of products in development i was sure i had seen another clip where he adds what is coming in 2025 but i cant remember who he said that to id be trawling through half of the dj clips on youtube

In development there are always new products. For releasing a new product it takes 2 or 3 years, depending on the complexity, but it can take also even 5-10 years. Saying „in Development” does not mean - we will release it next summer.

in this video at 6:21 min he said it

I wasn’t even aware about this video.

Jason wasn’t that specific, and again: This certainly does not count as ‘announcement’.

“Working on several upcoming products from Rane, Denon, Numark, (Akai)” –> yeah, he can be absolutely right here, and this is what I said above: The second major/generation wave, based on the newer architecture, is about to come - but coordinating several products needs time, and hence he never stated something specific like “product X comes in December 2025”. No promises broken, fellas!

That being said, I see good chances for interesting ‘stuff’ to appear in early 2026, certainly from Akai and Denon. Numark is more of a mystery for me, for several reasons. So - let’s just wait.

I hope Denon releases a replacement for the Prime 4/4+ soon. It’s a device that’s several years old, and its CPU is from 2013 if I’m not mistaken, so we need a more powerful device and an Engine OS with more capabilities that can handle that CPU. A new, more powerful 4-channel standalone unit would be fantastic for us.

I haven’t played too much on a Prime 4(+), so I’m not overly familiar with it - what don’t you think the current processor is capable of? Asking out of pure curiosity :blush:

It’s well known that Prime 4/4+ can sometimes be slow; even the waveform slows down slightly every few seconds, and searching for songs in a large music library, even on an SSD, takes quite a while.

It’s clearly a great standalone system, but it also has CPU limitations that make the user experience less than smooth.

I have a Prime Go+ and using it to play at a gig using MP4 files with looping etc and SoundSwitch running makes it like a pygmy running through treacle. Jerky waveforms, delays changing screens and searching. Music also glitches and pauses.

Its not ideal. Probably a combination of poor CPU and not enough RAM.

I mean it’s sort of OK for kids parties and such but absolutely no use for serious work.

Hi,

The simple answer is : We won’t know what’s coming out , until it’s out

Historically, the “introducing our new xyz-123” announcement tends to happen 1-3 weeks being shipping actually starts.

That first wave of shipping is usually just a few demo units to go to magazines and those who used to be thought of as “influencers” lol. Then 4-6 weeks later stock hits the stores who have shown prioritisation to Denon DJ in their sales and in their marketing.
