update works without problems. Sampler is a fantastic add on, first tests it seems to work. Need to test how to upload own drops and how that sound. One thing that need to be tested, is the volume control and how to bring it on the same level then the music from the go if played in a club. Anyway a good step forward
Iâm sorry I must be missing something⌠Why when I play on deck B (SC5000) the sampler output is still from the mixer channel where deck A is connected? I can see the samples also in deck B but they do not do anything if the deck A mixer fader is not UP! Thanks CIAO

I donât agree with all the posts asking for the sampler NOT to be routed through a hardware channel.
I prefer having physical control of the sampler volume, EQ and FX. If for example you play a sample and find itâs too loud, do you really want to be scrambling around with a touch screen, when you could just flick the fader down?
My suggestion would be to provide an option for users to route the signal to somewhere convenient for them E.G. VirtualDJ offers sample routing choices.
I rarely use mic 2 so being able to route the sampler audio there would be good. On/off, level, 3 band EQ, even echo.

A lot of thought went into it working this way. Its just the beginning folks. You have much more flexibility this way. A second routing option is also a very good idea.
Anyway⌠Hereâs a workaround⌠No need to worry about giving up a 4th music channel⌠If you really need it you can just add a 4th song track as a sample and play it from the pad and stop it by pressing shift plus the pad itâs associated with. All of the other features on the Prime 4 will function as normal.
Thereâs plenty of open space for another tab on the settings screen.

What do you mean by add?
If itâs add your own samples, you can add your own samples to a playlist then swipe right on the track on your screen then assign to a pad of your choice instead of loading to a deck.

Itâs quite easy to change samples once you get the hang of it.

So, NO way to run the sampler on the SECOND layer of the SC5000 unless you have the FIRST LAYER fader all way UP! BUT, this is not the way it is supposed to work! Well, seems like this was NOT tested at ALL! They only tested if LAYER A was working correctly⌠Bah⌠CIAO!
I like this suggestion. I can tolerate sacrificing the 4th channel at the mo, but in the longer run something will need to be done.
Theyâre SAMPLES, not effects (or FX).
Samples are recorded sounds. Effects are processing of an audio signal to change the sound. Two different things.
Hi. is there a problem already fixed in version 3.0 where SC live 4 and prime 2 do not remember the position in the exported playlist from Rekordbox? If I play the House 50 track playlist, then I go to the Techhouse playlist and I come back to House, so he plays 50 track and not 1 track?

Something that would be nice for the sample pads. Possibly a slightly different color scheme than whatâs used on the main hot cues. Thatâs gonna totally trip me up I just know it. Already has when practicing. Because out of the corner of my eye I think Iâm in hot cue mode. Just a thought for future updates.
