hello i have a question, i hope someone can help me with this problem because i have tried everything i even bought new usb sticks because i thought that was the problem. i have been trying since thursday to send my music via sync manager to my usb. Previously you would see the same on the right screen as on the left now it saves everything in 1 album and everything is mixed up while it is saved in different folders. i have been using engine dj for more than 3 years and never had this problem.. is there anyone who can help me out! i use a windows laptop and the latest engine dj update! my thanks i big
a mi me pasa exactamente lo mismo . sincroniza las canciones pero no las listas de reproducción. haber si alguien sabe como solucionarlo. que estoy desesperando. gracias de antemano
I’m sorry to say that all of a sudden 4.1 stopped properly syncing for me. It would not sync all the playlists. I tried 4.3 as a fresh install on a different computer and it wouldn’t sync at all with my database. (See Vanishing Playlists)
I’ve concluded that some gremlins contaminate the database(s).
My only solution was to switch to Lexicon DJ. It imported my Engine database with no issues. It will write (sync) performance drives as well as write to a standard Engine DJ desktop database. At least in my case, it works fine because all of my music is stored on my desktop hard drive. In fact, now I just prep and manage my music in Lexicon DJ and don’t even use Engine DJ desktop. Of course, I still use Engine as Engine OS is on the players.
Yes, Lexicon DJ is paid software, but, so far for me, it just works and has a lot of nice added features. I found a 20% off coupon that saved me on the year’s subscription.
If you want a free alternative (which I am using for years now …)
Go for Mixxx - Free DJ Mixing Software App (runs on Windows / Linux / iOS and fully customizable)
Version 2.5.1 supports export to Engine OS database format +4.1
LOL, we’ve got two threads converging…
Awesome, that could have been another choice for me. I went with Lexicon DJ based on its new support for Algoriddim djay Pro.
This is the great thing about our Denon players. We have at least four choices for library management which support export (sync) for our players. Mixxx (free), Mixo (paid), Lexicon DJ (paid) and Engine DJ (free). Only Engine DJ supports the Engine stems paradigm.
Kept one MIXXX commercial active. Removed the rest being reported as spam.
