problem solved

I’ve got one too. Always handy to carry as I needed one for the SC Live 4 that we had at work.

if it works then I’m happy

I use this one with my mpc one plus, works great.

Nice one, that solves two issues at once: More USB-ports and LAN.

Is Ableton Link working that bad via WiFi? I thought it also worked using WiFi…

ableton link via WiFi works just fine on my network

Unfortunately not, according to Cleveland Terry and other reviews. After more than 4 years, they haven’t listened to user feedback and added: eq’ing of mics, ability to hear mics in the headphones, ability to cue aux. I’m pretty sure the “+” update for Mixstream Pro added eq’ing of mics. Was waiting for this but it’s not there, very disappointing

Numark Mixstream vs Prime Go is a completely different product architecture. The Prime Go+ is just a cosmetic update, so no major PCB redesign was done. That said - routing of the signal paths was not changed.

It does seem that there’s a lot of expectation these days that manufacturers can just magically add stuff when customers ask for it.

People don’t seem to understand that electronics devices have hardware inside that’s a fixed thing and can’t be changed via software updates.

I think in the past it really wasn’t something that people expected, but now (likely due to smartphones and computers getting updates) people are expecting the impossible.

This is not the point. The point is they had plenty of time to make changes customers were asking for, and after 5 years they come out with “more wifi”

Perhaps time for you to search elsewhere for a device then. I wish you luck in your endeavours

wow what a lesson thank you

I don’t know what else to say, the company have decided upon an incremental update to their existing model (in line with their other recent updates to existing models) and you aren’t happy about it… what more needs to be discussed? coming to this forum to complain about it isn’t going to achieve anything for anybody. So my advice would be to look elsewhere for a product that meets your needs.

I was hoping in the next software update there would be bluetooth out; as you know, bluetooth in was added at the latest software update. Im guessing the Prime Go just wont’ ever have this capability now that its a key feature on the Go+. I dont use my Go as much as I would because of the hassel of 30 feet of XLR cables across my living room floor. My current speakers dont have RCA inputs. For practising mixes, playing backyard and outdoor events, friend gatherings, pool parties, where speaker placement could be moved beyond one fixed point. I wouldn’t use BT in a professional setting, but it certainty has it’s benefits. Kind of bummed because I bought a new Prime Go in March 2024.

I think you need to read the release notes of 4.1 before assuming what is and isn’t included with the Prime Go.

From the release notes:

  • Bluetooth audio out support for the following Engine DJ devices:
    • Denon DJ PRIME 4+
    • Denon DJ PRIME GO ←
    • Denon DJ PRIME GO+
    • Denon DJ SC LIVE 2
    • Denon DJ SC LIVE 4
    • Numark Mixstream Pro
    • Numark Mixstream Pro+
    • Numark Mixstream Pro GO

So, the unit you bought in March just got even better - for free

The amount of people on social media making this same claim is frightening Kris. I’d say 25% of people reading up on this new update now think the go doesn’t have it.
