Apple Music not streaming on SC Live 4

Hi all ,

I seem to be getting one issue after another since swapping from a Mixstream to a SC Live 4.

The new issue is Apple Music is not loading any tunes from either my playlists or in fact from any music that it offers when signed in on the controller to Apple .

It worked fine yesterday.

I get the dreaded message ‘ unable to load due to possible corrupt file or unsupported format ‘

I get this message with or without a usb with my saved loops etc .

It seems to be an Apple related issue as SoundCloud is working fine.

My Apple Music is working fine on my phone so it’s not a subscription issue .

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Pioneer users reporting the same. Must be an issue at Apple’s end.

Thanks , that’s good news …sort of !

Seems the issue with Pioneer and Apple was to do with a security update that Apple carried out .

Pioneer made an update to cover it .

Engine DJ haven’t mentioned anything about it so I don’t think it’s the same issue .

Anyways , I’ve raised a ticket now as it’s still not working after trying numerous things .

I have the same issue on a Brand new Rane System One

Thanks for the reply .

Have you contacted anybody regarding this issue ?

Has it worked before ?

I’ve had various issues with Apple Music over the past year or so. I moved over to Tidal and it’s been far more reliable.

Sigue sin funcionar

Thanks all - we are looking into this issue. Its seems that there has been a change on apple musics side of things… This issue has also been reported by Pioneer DJ users.

For now can anyone seeing this issue try Logging out and then back in to Apple music on engine. Thanks

Logging out and in don’t resolve the problem! The tracks that i import by my own from cd or something else in Apple music don’t give a problem. These tracks i can play without any problem. It looks like that Apple change something in the codec. Engine DJ support only 128 and 256 K AAC. I hope that there will be an update asap.

I don’t have any problems with AAC 256kbps or 320kbps audio files. I don’t see why files played from the Apple Music streaming platform would be different from files in the Apple Store. Perhaps the problem is related to a DRM or API issue?

You’re not trying to stream a multi-channel surround file, are you?

Yes I spoke with one the Distro Managers and they are aware of the issue. Sounds like Apple did something on their end. Beatport and all other services work as normal. No ETA though :frowning:

Exactly same issue here , raised a ticket with denon , who assured me it wasn’t them , so contacted Apple who assured me it can’t possibly be them either !!! Ahhhhhhrrrrr!!!

Guess just going to have to ride it out . Going try a different trial stream source to get by in meantime tho

Same on Numark mixstream pro go

Seems it’s the same issue Pioneer users have had then .

Ive tried multiple times to log out and back in but it’s still the same.

I’ve just switched over to Apple from SoundCloud and Beatport as well :man_facepalming:.

Luckily my son still has his SoundCloud account so I could test it.

Hopefully an update will be coming our way sometime soon. :crossed_fingers:

Same thing has been happening to me since feb 3 or 4. Unable to load anything from apple music. Get the unsupported/corrupted error. Signed out of my prime and signed back in so it would log me out and back into apple music. Issue persists. Checked on my Mac mini and the prime is still authorized for my apple music account as of the day I signed out/in. Worked fine a few days ago but now I can’t do anything. Been watching this thread like a hawk to see if anyone found a solution or if denon has an update to fix it. I literally bought my prime go plus for apple music integration. Very frustrating. My Playlist and library syncs fine though, just can’t load anything from apple music.

It’s very frustrating especially given Pioneer put out an update for this on Nov 27th as they knew it was going to be an issue come Jan (info from their website ) .

If it’s the same issue going on here I’m not sure why Denon haven’t been on top of this as well :man_shrugging:
