Any plans for a DJS1000 style sampler

Truth be told, I just want to link Ableton Live and an assortment of iPad Apps with my SC6000s. If Akai hardware isn’t up to snuff, perhaps Denon/Akai could just develop an IPad App to work via Ableton Link. I just don’t understand the faint hostility I sense from some of Y’alls responses to Ableton Link. I can’t for the life of me understand why Y’all wouldn’t at least want the option.

I have an Akai Force and an MPC Live - I have no complaints whatsoever, and would encourage anyone wanting a sampler to look at either.

I was strongly considering the force, I like it’s look and possibilities. But the limitations are just holding me back. That’s why I got the Maschine Plus.

Another good choice, to be fair.

I had the Force and went back to Maschine. It’s just more comfortable to write on for me personally. The Force was a great bit of kit otherwise, tho.

I am familiar with Maschine workflow as well (got the mk2 and Jam). I was thinking previously to get djs1000, or force, or Live, or Maschine plus. But still I miss the complete remixdecks from traktor. Hardware version with some improvements would be a killer product. We need that device. Not just any looper sampler - a remix station with dj oriented workflow. Grabbing samples/loops from decks via link, look ahead in any deck for samples, loop share via link to scratch the recorded content, midi control, ableton link, fx, loop sequence building and many more.

I would love to see a product like this!

Closing in on 3 years here since the original post. Are we still holding out hope that this will happen?

Me too  I would love such a device

More chance of finding rocking horse poo, sadly.

Hilarious!!!

Now that we have Ableton Link onboard, it’s no problem to use one of the Akai range or (in my case) Native Instruments Maschine+

Or even a plethora of iPad apps…people sleep on this! I have no idea why?

I’ve found a slight offset with RemixLive on a 2018 iPad which I’ve seen a few others note too and could be a problem with the iPad in general. Maybe a slight latency?

I’m going to get to the bottom of that as I would love to use the iPad as in my case it’s much better for transporting.

Yeah, some apps do have slight latency issues, while others do not. That said, I’ve found when my iPad & SC6000s are all connected via a wired network, I rarely run into that. But, it does still rear it’s ugly head from time to time. Someone way smarter than me can probably explain why that happens. Maybe an inherent flaw in Ableton Link’s code? Like I said, I’m no software/hardware engineer, and can barely even wrap my head around how any of this 'ish even works, lol.
