Anxiously awaiting the 3.1 update

Personnaly with sc6000, I sometimes use A&H mixer which has a wonderful sound, but I have a Pioneer 750mk2 too which is more club standard and more useable (despite the medium sound quality )

DJM750 is not a club standard. DJM800, 850, 900nxs, 900nxs2 and A9 are club standard mixers from pioneer. No dj on his tech rider has a djm750. So far on regular basis we set up A&H Xone 92, 96, DJM900’s. No one ever agreed to use anything lower than that.

As for Opus quad - this device is a joke. All plastic and flimsy jog wheels - scratching on this is not fun. Jog’s feeling is c**p, display only can show 2 waveforms at the time, crossfader assign is not on the mixer faceplate - easy to miss, hard to find by many djs. Effects access is not fast and not intuitive. In terms of software user experience on this device Pioneer needs to work harder. Even a bit older RX3 performs better in terms of fast access to all important functions. Performance wise - any dj gear is better for now than the OQ - when You’re djing, you don’t want to dig in the menus for the functions that you need in 2 seconds… Now the bluetooth - who djs music with so huge latency? It is nice to have for background music, but on the other hand, not something that would be a deal breaker… It is a dj gear not a home audio bluetooth speaker…

100 percent agreed. I don´t really get why Denon is not including the Rane Line Up into its Eco system. Some Soundswitch standalone support wit the ranes, would be nice. I only can think that the target group of rane is more a serato user.

There will be something around the corner. I am pretty sure and can not wait for a new one. Denon has the better Media players now its time to crush the Mixer section (i still do like the X1850) maybe with some own Engine OS extension instead of firmware to have the easier updates. The X1800 came out 2017 and they bought Rane 2016 (so rane was not really involved). Now they could have leveraged the Rane knowledge for the new mixer

I’ve heard mid June - I’m super stoked to see the new screen based effects :raised_hands:

750mk2 is a nexus 900 light.

I don’t know in your country but there is no rule for us, except for big festivals where you only find Pioneer djm nexus or A9 and cdj2000/3000.

I don’t know where you saw a plastic device in the Opus one, which is for high end mobile djs or for bars/restaurants/clubs. And for scratching use Rane devices instead.

Indeed Denon 5000/6000 devices seem more pro.

The rx3 is more a home device or entry level, compare to the Opus ; Older processor, old screen, smaller resolution, 30 fps, ddj800 plastic jogwheels, sound quality below… and still 2200€

I had it for 2 monthes : bugs, glitches, audio quality… I prefered the rx2

Well, maybe because it’s made from plastic? Including jog wheels…

RX3 is considered more pro for its features accessibility. Opus quad has many features hidden away in the screen menu - not intuitive, no direct access - not pro level.

I paid 2049! and you still keep saying that the sound is poor! you must have really fine ears to distinguish these differences !!

just for the fun of the new products etc.

I think the prime 4 + does not get only a new amazon chip, but at least a fresh new look:

Nice spot. Guess they aren’t ‘sleeping’ as much as some here would like us to believe.

Some here do seem to suggest that no development happens, when that development isn’t in their direction.

That is business.

In my opinion Denon just need to update the aesthetic of the prime to be inline with the current products, I am not sold on Amazon music and I don’t know why Denon push this as a serious selling point it is not fit for purpose as it stands and anyone buying a P4 + is expecting pro performance from the hardware and software so Denon has to deliver on that my question would be do Denon keep the current layout of the P4 or do they go down the sc live layout

look at the video i posted, seems like the Prime 4+ gets the new look, away from the SC5000 looks to the current SC6000 design, which was my only complain about the prime 4 i had to this point.

I’ve looked carefully at the video and I don’t see any differences with the prime 4, I’m not sure if it’s a new model, if it’s the prime 4+ basically the exterior is the same

It is the new model. I saw the difference right away.

It’s not the same mate

Same ! I don’t think it’s a Prime 4+, but I admit it’s a bit blurry. If it’s the P4+… the FX banks 1 and 2 are placed like the P4 and the same for the rest, I don’t see any major difference, apart from the PADs where you can only see a small dash of light different color on the upper part of each PAD, instead of having the outline of the backlit PADs, something else the colors of the LEDs of the VU meters are white & blue like the SC Live range! (The difference will probably be a 2 times more powerful ARM processor embedded internally!)

Yess. It seems the new P4+

Effects are not at the same place, it is a mix between a sc live 4 and a p4. Hope it is better because nothing’s new apart the cpu.

A p4 with bigger jogwheels, or with 4 of it would be wonderful

I get the distinct impression that whatever it is, you’re going to be ‘extremely disappointed’ regardless.

What about working with the loop, the device comes out of sync
