More expensive than a new sc6000. People who stay invested in the rekordbox ecosystem are becoming a joke, honestly.
I continue to think that Denon is losing the market because of not introducing a cheaper alternative to the flagships. I get that LC6000 is great but people like having 1 player individually (hence why I’m getting a third sc6000 and selling my lc6000) but Denon could gain a lot of traction if they released something like a SC3000 that’s a device with 7” screen and less buttons. I think it could work!
lol, I have to say the aesthetics of this @Pasha new player are far superior in the Orange skin..
I think the new player is a cheap attempt at replacing their older 1000 model with a tablet strapped to the top. butt ugley. plastic/rubber coating, (Only lasts about 3 or 4 years before peeling off) Feels like crap also. Gives me the gibbies.
One single output,.
Nothing like our beloved S5000/S6000 range.
Why not just an opus quad, figured that if people are so invested in the record box ecosystem why don’t they just buy one of those, runs on same ecosystem and it’s basically four of those players in half the price half the price
I appreciate the clean design and compact form factor.
What I still don’t understand is the decision not to make the Hot Cue buttons multifunctional.
Since the player already has a touchscreen, the labels above the buttons could simply change depending on the active mode. The hardware wouldn’t need to change at all—only the UI. That feels like a missed opportunity.
One thing I do feel is missing is an Action button.
A dedicated physical button next to Shift that users could assign to their favorite function would make this player much more flexible. Every DJ has different priorities:
Next Track
Slip
Vinyl Mode
Looper (djay)
Sampler
Touch FX
Lighting (Soundswitch)
…or any other frequently used function.
Giving DJs the ability to customize a single hardware button would be a simple but powerful quality-of-life improvement.
Overall, I think AlphaTheta has made some good design decisions, but there are also a few missed opportunities that could have made this player much more versatile.
Stated by who? Inmusic officials ? I don’t get you. Sensible sized artwork? How sensible? Listen i have a denon too but and i am not a Pioneer lover but first lets take a look at our home if everything is ok and then you can look at other’s home.
If, as the rumors suggest, Denon DJ has abandoned standalone players in favor of all-in-one models, the Alphatheta CDJ-1500X is the only “affordable” alternative (especially since the SC-6000s are out of production)…
It’s a shame because without competition, there’s no innovation!
On the new CDJ-1500X, the loop encoder is taken directly from Denon DJ products, and the illuminated USB flash drive slot is similar to what we’ve seen on the SC-5000/6000.
What about the actual Denon DJ website then? SC6000 and 6000M still on there, alongside all the other current products. Discontinued products (Prime 2 etc) not shown.
As mentioned earlier, MPI Electronic (djpoint.net) is the official distributor of inMusic products in Italy. I think they have more information than ordinary users
