X1850 update not working

Had an issue with my x1850 starting and tried updating several times to 1.2. Keep getting this after pc downloads the update. Mixer says data receiving and channels 1 and 2 lit to -25 channel 3 lit to PK.

Tried several times all day and mixer just won’t work.

In that state, reconnect the USB and retry update process from the computer.

Hello I have the same problem. The X1850 is not communicating with my computer. What should I do because when I leave this mode by restarting the X1850 it flashes in all directions and I can no longer use it … What should I do? Thanks for your help.

Exactly same case with me. Wanted to update to ver. 1.3 and computer just doesn’t see the mixer. Updater shows empty window, mixer has flushed it’s flash drive and failed to load the new firmware, therefore it doesn’t boot up. In update mode it just gets stuck in data receiving mode and goes no further. All the rest of the symptoms described here also present. Is there any solutions to this? Cant use my gear until it’s fixed :frowning:

Hi I just want to share my experience updateing for anyone who still need some advice. I had bought my mixer with software 1.6 and hardware version 1.4.

  • for what I’ve read in other discusions 1.6 would brick some older X1850’s.
  • It took me several atempts to update to 1.7, what worked for me was using usb channel 2 (not channel 1 as recomended) -I had a fresh restart from the pc, and I would avoid using it during the 7 min update to avoid my PC from creating any sound and sending it to the mixer while updateing as it is identified as sound card.
  • once software was complete loaded it will take several seconds to auto-restart, so dont touch your unit until it works completely normal again.
  • dont be alarmed if your update doesn’t work first time, as long as you can access update mode you can have another try.
