I have a synth connected to a line input (channel 3) and am using the x1850 as my user interface in broadcast mode. Mixer Ch.1 is set to USB. The mixer main outs go straight to my speakers. I’m trying to listen only to the output from Ableton, but Ableton can only hear the input from the synth if the channel 3 fader and gain are raised - this makes it so I now hear the output from my DAW and the raw signal from the synth on channel 3. The only workaround I’ve found so far is to turn the master volume on the mixer down to zero. I can now use headphones to cue the channel 1 mixer output, which is the output from my computer. Is there a way to send an input to a channel without monitoring it to the main outs? I’ve played with all of the digital out settings on the mixer itself.
Set the channel 3 from USB to DVS - this way the input is send directly to USB, instead of the channel.
