X1850 music stops voor a moment when FX is engaged

Hi all!

When I have the max amount of FX and I engage it with the button (or touchstrip), the music completely disappears for a moment. A video to make it more clear:

Is this normal? Am I missing a setting or is my X1850 broken?

If the mixer doesn’t show similar behaviour with other FX’s then it’s normal.

You have a delay FX and set it to fully wet. That means, when you engage it, the mixer stops the dry signal and outputs only the wet one (due to your knob set to fully wet). And the wet signal is outputted with a delay. Because it a delay Fx, get it?

To make things short, you are not using the delay fx properly. You cannot set it to fully wet and then drop it in the mix, all you get is the original audio, just delayed for x/x amount of beats.

EDIT: dry/wet is min/max fx. Stupid way to mark that knob.
