Can someone explain me what is the difference between on and off ?

In the manual is written:

Broadcast Mode: When set to On, this option allows you to send the master signal to your computer over USB audio channels 1–2 for use with broadcasting software. Set to Off to disable Broadcast Mode.

No matter if I turn it on or off I am seeing the digital audio input from X1850 on my Mac and can use it for recording the master signal from S1850.

Is there something which is different and what I have overseen?

Some programs don’t see other channels than 1/2. So Broadcast mode is a simplified switch the master from 9/10 to 1/2.
