I’d like to setup a way to record sessions on a x1800/1850 without using a computer to do so.
I’ve found the dn-300r that looks to ( like the sc6000/m…… ) be discontinued but could technically record from the usb our on the x1800/1850?
This looks like a straightforward solution to recording a set from a x1800/1850 without having to rely on a computer, or have to switch to a Prime 4 just to record a set.
This is a long shot but has anyone else on the forums here used one for this very purpose?
Haven’t used one, but this should work. Tascam and other brand have more compact non-rack mounted stuff for this too. Just plug it’s input onto the record out, and you are go!
I’m a complete novice with these types of recorders, I just assumed it had to be USB or old school RCA or Balanced to record. These look like small microphone recorders? Either way I’ll take a look at that as well thx!
Off hand do you know of any Denon product that would allow for just a plug/play for recording ( aside from buying a Prime 4 with built in USB recording ) ?
Many of these field recorders have 2 mics and 2 analog inputs. They can record in 4 tracks, which is handy for for example recording your live set: if you mix the line inputs from the mixer together with the mics you will hear the crowd cheering. And the mics may be handy for sampling etc. Last we used one in the concert band for recording our rehearsal. Applications are many…
You also have recorders with just 2 line inputs, but they became less popular due to the next option.
That next option is to use your iPhone. If you plug your iPhone into the mixers USB, using a camera connection kit, you can record digital….
Ah, and don’t worry about jack inputs: RCA to jack cables are easy to use…
