Why dont Implement different views for serato with a big waveform lile in standalone mode?

Dear engine DJ Team & Community,

I would like to suggest implementing various views for the standalone mode when used in combination with Serato, especially with larger waveforms. Having the option to switch between different display modes could greatly enhance the user experience for DJs. Here are a few advantages this feature could offer:

  1. Better Visual Clarity: Larger waveforms would allow for more precise cueing, beatmatching, and mixing. This would be particularly helpful in environments with low lighting or when working with high-tempo tracks.

  2. Customizable Workflow: Offering different views, such as a more focused waveform or more detailed deck information, would give DJs the flexibility to tailor the interface to their personal workflow and preferences.

  3. Enhanced Performance: In live settings, the ability to quickly scan through tracks and identify key moments visually is essential. Having multiple view options would make this process faster and more efficient, reducing potential mistakes.

  4. Improved Focus: DJs often need to switch between different types of information (e.g., track details, waveforms, effects). With customizable views, it would be easier to focus on the most important aspects of the performance.

I believe this feature would not only streamline the workflow but also make the overall experience more user-friendly for both beginners and professionals.

Thank you for considering this suggestion.

Best regards, Jakob Ball

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Ehm two questions:

  • I think you mean on a hardware device? (I will move this topic if need be)
  • I think you mean to ask Serato this question? (They take care of the display when using Serato)

Oh okay, thank you!didnt know this was on serato

Within the boundaries of what’s possible of course, both Serato and VirtualDJ create their own layout when in computer mode.
