White font/color smearing across screen?

Hi all. I love my SC6000s. I got them in April 2021 but all of a sudden at a gig one of them started smearing/blurring the white font or colors across the screen. It looks really bad and looks like the player is broken. It still plays music and works but its hard to use this way. Luckily I was able to use the one player at the gig to finish.

Im not sure what caused the issue as I tested it before the gig and it was fine. The issue still persists. I have reached out to support (Case No. 1979824) but the gentleman that was helping is out of the office for the time being (super nice and helpful guy by the way).

Anyone seen this before? Please see the picture and video attached.

Hi @tmolina703, welcome to the forum.

I think the fastest way for you, is to contact the retailer and sort this out with them.

I’ve tagged a staff member to maybe speed things up a bit, if you’d want to go the support way.

Thank you! Unfortunately guitar center says I have to contact Denon. I appreciate your help!

That is very poor customer service from guitar center at least for German standards.

Ive never had to deal with Guitar Center customer service outside of the sales deptartment. So im not sure what to expect.

In my region, a store is responsible for what they sell for at least a year or 2 (and by law even during “commonly expected runtime”.

Given their company name, I wouldn’t even buy a guitar with support like that. It’s a defective unit; they should exchange it with a new one within the warranty period or make sure a repair is executed (by DenonDJ or another).

Interesting. I dont think they have laws like that in the United States. Guitar center is a well known music store here.

Yup. US Laws are different.

Gear is also cheaper there compared to Europe.

They also have 30/60 days no quibbles return.

So there is that….I suppose

Yeah…Guitar Center sales reps. kept calling me about buying the extended warranty through the store…i wish i woulda got it. I mean the unit is only 4 months old.

Not good is it? Hope Denon replace it for you …
