When adding new tracks, old tracks randomly are overwritten

Hi, I am having a very strange problem since version 4.2

When I add new tracks to my library, it randomly overwrites old tracks with the data of a new track…

For Example I add track Michael Jackson - Billie Jean.MP3 to my library Put it in a new empty folder The name of the file in my library becomes westlife-Beautiful.mp3 When i play it the sound played is Michael Jackson Filename is westlife The original westlife file is gone in my library, all data lost

Hope anyone understand this, when I add fo rexample 10 tracks, 5 tracks get a different name and overwrite random songs…

This is very very frustrating… don’t know how to solve this

Anyone had this problem before too ?

The underlying disk file MP3 is still there? It’s just the library entry is pointing to the wrong file now?

I might be completely wrong but I wonder if you’ve upgraded Engine (OS or DJ) but not let Engine upgrade your engine music database on each of your drives yet….

Eg: track number 15021 might be Micheal Jackson: beat it in your old database but maybe track 15021 is Queen Latifa: something sweary in the new database

So, ask each version of engine for track 15021 and get different results

Just a thought
