That’s the point. I’m not saying I’m not real or can’t dj. 35 years as a pro dj. All I’m saying is at the 2000 price point the equipment should look and feel a bit more professional in my OWN OPINION. I’ve own the p4 for 3 years. I love DENON Equipment. I’ve had the mc6000 and 7000. All I’m saying is it would be nice to have the same jogs as the cdj’s that DENON makes.
It’s just my personal opinion. I’ve been djing for 35 years. On all types of equipment. Being a DENON fan and user I just felt that having the flagship controller and at the price point of 2g’s it would be more impressive looking. Just my opinion. I thing the larger jogs would be so awesome on this controller and if your gonna call it the plus. Why not upgrade it. That’s all I was trying to say.
Exactly this.
Lots of comments here about larger jogs “looking professional” - to who?
The clients and/or audience don’t care. If someone books you to play at a venue and you rock up with your own kit, are they going to break out the tape measure and send you home because your jogs are too small?!
It’s not the size that matters. It’s what you do with it
Now that would be a sight to see lol.
I’ve lowered myself to some Pioneer forum mod behavior (never been there, just from hearsay!). Some posts needed deleting…
Reese at least you are super active on the forum, moving posts, merging etc.
I’ve been around a long time where I’ve seen mods use it as some sort of power trip, so fair play to you for managing to keep your cool, especially when some of the post get derailed.
Kudos
I was a network admin for a couple of years on IRC, but that was mostly controlling Bots, flood and channel/network attacks, but even though i had my own channel on those networks i still managed to treat people with dignity although in honesty sometimes it was hard to hold back.
Depends on the gear 12inch jogs on a controller would be silly the sc6000s do not need to have bigger jogs they are big enough controllers 5 to 6 inches is fine prime go is the exception but on the next version they could do with being an inch or so larger
The Prime 4 definitely has a lot of wasted vertical space. I don’t think they can fit a bigger jog wheel on it unless if they move the deck assignment, track skip, beat jump and censor buttons. Of course… moving those buttons would then make the layout different from the SC5000/SC6000s.
