For me I want to see
Flexible/adaptive beat grids
real time stems
play count ( that can be sorted/used properly)
Of course not everything will happen at once but just wanted to see what fellow users wanted to see included.

Nothings a âmustâ
Did you mean added into Engine DJ, or Engine OS?
Rather than starting a tired, visited before wishlist topic, just add one of your 10 forum votes to the requests which have already been made.
Note to the occasional visiting InMusic staff member - please can someone in the right role please, mark the request topics which cannot be implimented as âCannot be implimentedâ and release the forum member votes from those dormant suggestions please. It would help keep voting fresher, on the requests which could potentially be achieved.
I donât understand if you are the head of the forum? Because as soon as someone writes something you contradict them! Enlighten me please! This thing is very annoying
I fully support your request to add the flexible grid! (I already voted âforâ this feature in the feature request section). ![]()
However, as for creating Stems on the fly in the readers, weâll have to wait until future products have significantly more RAM/GPU power and weâre not going to debate this subject again!!! ![]()
Donât be so hard on yourself ![]()
Here is your answer:
Make/add to playlist from prepare list (currently 123 votes) https://community.enginedj.com/t/generate-playlist-from-prepare-screen/36909
Custom MetaData Column Selection in Song Lists (53 votes) https://community.enginedj.com/t/custom-metadata-column-selection-in-song-lists/56968
Editing tags/comments/metadata on the hardware (currently 302 votes) https://community.enginedj.com/t/song-tags-rating-editing-directly-by-console-engine-dj-os/36883
The above 3 are âmost wantedâ.

My feature request theme is all about improvements to the library and its abilities.
Denon has got it right and refined things well enough in most other respects already, at least on the software side.
For @Ben-E @Andrew_Ostroff : âEditing tags/comments/metadata on the hardwareâ
For this function: Editing song tags directly on the console, how would these data modifications be stored? Would there be a file containing all the modifications made for each song in a dedicated folder in the playerâs âEngine Libraryâ database (like for image tags), or would it be a modification of the root ID tag of the audio file, as if using MP3Tag software? If itâs the second option, many users will be frustrated when connecting their players to the EDJ Desktop software, because itâs important to remember that every time a file is moved, deleted, or renamed, in either direction, these files will inevitably turn red in EDJ Desktop because it wonât automatically update the changes. So we would go with my first idea, except that the risk will be to gradually increase the load on the database Engine Library of the readers, if we have the images in one folder + another containing the Stems + one containing the RGB waveforms, + Rating, the risk of data corruption errors will increase slightly.
I just want Roll FX to be 32 beats again, IMHO the best virtual extra decks and automation hack on any AiO hardware.
It is a must from the perspective of the customer whether it can be implemented or not is a separate matter.
We went from GAS to FAS
My main requests are stems related:
Since I also use djay pro and donât see the uni system coming to old hardware, when starting up the mixstream give me a toggle on boot up to boot into computer mode instead of fully booting up then restarting into computer mode.
Oh please add this:

Housekeeping. Sigh.
IMHO with all this housekeeping we should start charging condo fees to recoup costs LOL j/k
Whatâs funny is that a process (for better or worse) has existed for years that allows people to post feature requests & vote, yet people still create threads about their feature expectations/wishes and then others pile on as if said process didnât exist.
One good thing about threads like this is that it does show that there is enthusiasm in the community. ![]()
Certain long term forum members need a talking to. Again.

I donât mind a thread like this as long as everyone who contributes within it adds their vote to the correct feature request elsewhere in the relevant forum feature threads.
Itâs good for driving conversation on the forum and generally these kinda threads always get big views and post counts so the engagement works, especially if the forum stagnates. As long as people stay on topic within the general theme of wants, needs and nice-to-haves.
I think one post a year as a âPredictions for 2026â or âWhat would you like to see in hardware or software in 2026?â can be entertaining, especially as itâs a worldwide community as it gathers everyone in one room instead of spreading them out into their threads.
Just remember to vote for each request or itâs not really counting towards anything!
My biggest wish (by far) for Engine in 2026: being able to add artwork to your files on the computer software (and for ID3 tags to be saved within the actual audio files, and not just the Engine DB).
