Fair point…. Even Traktor traditionally lagged behind regarding HID support for the newest CDJ.
Well I’ve just followed your link and had a look. No support for any of the Denon Prime series. No support for my Pioneer DDJ-SX2 or DDJ-RZ so not really “all controllers”.
Obviously they could be mapped by the user, but that applies to most other DJ software too, and it’s only going to provide very basic functionality.
Sure all the controllers are supported, but you have look in the correct place …
Maybe not out of the box … than the forum is there to help …
Like in my case the Mixstream Pro (and GO) are not supported out of the box. So I created the mapping files and shared it for others to use.
Numark Mixstream Pro mapping - Controller mappings - Mixxx
That is the fun part of it, you can model the controller function to your own liking

Hi all. I agree, that engine should be able to do basic playing and mixing songs. Let me explain. When preparing for sets i work on pc and live4. But when i am on hollidays i take bluetooth speaker and ipad with me yust to play some music. This way tracks become more familiar to me, what i can do with them when performing. But there isnt engine for ipad, so i am stuck with rekordbox. Yes, maybe im off topic, but i realy think, engine should be the way to go. I hope that makes sense. And sorry for bad english. Tomi
Engine dj should strive to be best stand alone OS there is. (I believe it already is)
Engine desktop should strive to be best library management software there is.(a long way to go) ![]()
The developers should add the ability to use the desktop library when connected with a USB cable (same port used to connect with virtual dj). This alone would be a nice feature. Using the ethernet port requires adapters and dongles… and the ethernet port was removed altogether from the Prime Go+
