Waveform Zoom Feature Request

I would highly appreciate it if Engine DJ offered the option to zoom in on the waveform display. This functionality would greatly enhance precision when setting cue points and beat grids, making track preparation much more efficient and accurate.

Existing feature request.

If EngineDJ, then read page 6 of the manual at point 9.

Ah, I missed that detail Reese.

And welcome to the forum! :+1:t2:

I don’t just mean the regular zoom function — there should be an option to increase the overall size of the waveform display itself. This would significantly improve visibility and allow for more precise editing.

The best way to do that would be with an external monitor, although personally I’m not 100% sure as to the need for such detail, I’ve been doing it on a 13” monitor for the past 15yrs with little issue.

Ooh! This is like pseudo-code :heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

I’m a people programmer. :joy:

This topic is going to need to have its unintentionally misleading title changed to something more accurate, if people feel that the request has got a crumb of traction.

We can already zoom in the waveform down to the point where a single beat hyper-accurately fills a quarter of the screen width.

Some might feel that any additional “accuracy” needed could be compensating elsewhere.

Dear all,

I think, this item is a part of our “never ending story” regarding beatgrids.

If you compare the tool for handling “beatgrids”, imo there is a visible difference in the magnitude of the raster between ENGINE OS (e.g. P4 and P4+) and ENGINE DJ.

It’s black magic with both tools (for me :musical_notes:) to hit the proper downbeat 100 % (to be continued).
