Using Serato 3.0 with Prime 4

Hello all!

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I’m curious how I might be able to use Serato 3.0 with the Prime 4. I recently saw the new update and the STEMS feature to isolate vocals, percussion, and bass looks amazing and would love to give it a try.

Is there any way I can use this feature with Prime 4?

The prime 4 should act as a midi controller for Serato when using it in that mode so the pads on the Prime 4 should trigger the stems feature as it would with any other currently supported controller.

Yeah but on other controllers it turn the sample pads into stem pads from whati read. So not sure which function you will lose tp gain stems. As the prome 4 doesnt have sampler pads. Not tried it though so dont honestly know for sure

From what ive seen there is a drop down in Serato settings so you can choose which pad mode to replace, its only got 2 options on the beta but i assume it will have the full range on the live version.

hello all

Try last night and it works very well, we have the choice of putting pad stems instead of loop rolls or samplers.

The parameter key also activates the voices or instrument it works very well in any case,

I find these stems very good knowing that they are not true like on traktor but stems calculated from our flac or mp3

really great with the vocal echo that somewhat emulates the smooth echo of the S11 a treat if denon could include this it would be great even if they use the option like serato to prepare our stems to overcome the problem

because in real time it may take too many live resources but once prepared I think it’s largely bearable,

in any case it will be a leap forward with the stems but above all the ease of use, they took a long time but we’re doing something good finally think it’s just my humble opinion

The drop down only appears only is a stem supported hardware is connected

If The Prime 4 is not on the list of supported hardware.

It has to be mapped

If the prime 4 has user-mode pages then no loss of function otherwise one may loose every page of function of the performance pad if not mapped with SHIFT held.

I tried mapping my DJ808 yesterday to the hold SHIFT + PAD, I lost delete hotcue as a result.

Yeah, Prime 4 is ready-to-go and works a treat.

Hip hop, R&B and tracks with less things going on work amazingly well. 80s synth pop is fun.

When you get a wishy washy vocal, layer a beat from another deck under it and you can’t really tell that much at all.

It’s not studio quality but it’s seriously fun.

would someone here map the prime 4 with the serato 3 stems to emulate a sort of rane four and its split stems? as shown here Serato DJ Pro 3.0 STEM Split like Rane Four on any controller. - YouTube
