the usb B port on my prime 4 , when pulling on the wire , the blue box holding the 4 pins has snapped off. not much force needed to break it either, im now stuck not able to get tracks on and off my installed data drive without taking it out. not happy
Yeah they’re quite fragile. Mine’s broken too, along with the one on my MPC.
If you’ve still got the blue part, you may be able to get somewhere by inserting it back carefully (mind the pins) before putting the cable in.
Hello all. This same problem has now happened to my Prime4+. The unit does the a small number of gig so the normal permanent plugged in cable is not removed and reinserted that often, but the blue internals came out with the last gig when unplugging and now have no ability to sync tracks despite gently reinserting the chassis of the usb b. Shame, as I’m a careful owner too. Anyway, anyone know of any trusted repairers in the UK? My unit is out of warranty and I’ve not had a positive experience dealing with InMusic directly in the past so rather part funds with a small business and get the customer service. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
