Urging to buy SC5000

Lately I’ve been getting the urge to buy one used SC5000.

I’ve 2 SC6000 and 1 LC6000, so far so good and got me real comfortable playing 3 decks on clubs even on other players. That’s why I love Denon, didn’t break the bank and was able to practice on club level gear.

Honestly playing 3 decks without dual layer was super satisfying. I am now thinking about selling the LC6000 and buying one SC5000. At first I didn’t like its design but now I’m actually interested in having it, because it’s just as powerful as SC6000 and because I want to have all the Prime players with me.

Problem is: there’s nothing available in the used market. Seems that the players are really good, right? Otherwise there’d be plenty selling.

anyone sharing the same feeling? Wish denon would release a new player next week at NAMM

I can find in germany couple used ones. But sc5000 is price and function wise a good offer. Most people like me switched to the sc6000 couple of years ago and sold the sc5000. Since no new products came out the used market probably does not get a new wave. Maybe go for a used sc6000. Since i like the optical more mature look of the sc6000 and got a good deal i sold them. Would never go back just due to the pure aesthetic

Too expensive. SC5000 price wise are a better deal. And just as good. Perfect for 3rd deck

Used SC5000 is a like a new Xdj-700. But under the hood same thing as SC6000. I think I need to visit Germany then. Portugal nothing

Quite a few on eBay UK .

I bought a pair of 5000s last year from ebay (UK) - they’re awesome.

I bought mine 4 months ago and there was decent used supply on guitar center if your in the States. And besides internal drive they are fantastic and do everything I want. Of course would love to have the sc6000 but they have been reliable and feel basically new. I think in general used Denon gear just isn’t used as much as Pioneer gear so used gear feels a lot better

Awesome, do they link with SC6000?

Awesome to hear! If there’s a problem with a unit, is it easy to repair?

I don’t have 6000s so haven’t tried but I would expect that they would link up just fine.

No issues so haven’t had to repair.

I don’t know haven’t had to fix them yet fingers crossed. I did try to fix one cause there was some lose part inside occasionally cause the jog wheel to jam up but it fixed itself and I feel it was above my skillset so I didn’t continue and there wasn’t a lot of good video of breaking open to fix.
