I was going to post this idea in the Feature Requests section but it preloaded the post with a half dozen questions about “who’d use this feature? What other products already have this?” all good questions, normally.
I’ve been looking through the hundreds and hundreds of New Firmware feature requests in the forum. I’ve been wondering which ones would help me, in the way that I use my Denon Primes and I’ve voted for 5 or 6 of the ideas. I haven’t used all my votes as you never know what someone’s going to ask for next, and I want to keep some votes in reserve for that possibility.
What I’ve also seen, when looking through the requests, are some requests which have received no votes, no comments whatsoever, or just a pitiful half the dozen or so votes even though the request has been on the forum for several years, ready to receive votes or “me too” comments.
It’s taken me ages to go through hundreds and hundreds of requests and it seems fairly obvious some just aren’t popular enough for denon to spend time even thinking about some of the unwanted ideas , or the ideas only wanted by the one person who types the idea into the forum.
I also read that denon seem reluctant to be brave enough to own up to adding “Won’t implement” to any of the ideas.
As an alternative then, does anyone think that requests which meet the following criteria, get moved to a different section of the forum so that the popular ideas with dozens or hundreds of votes don’t get “lost” in amongst the (probably) never going to happen ideas.
