Ok so I have my new SC6000s linked playing USB drives and I’ve searched topics, followed the manual but no matter what I do the sync keeps taking control of the other deck. How on earth do I turn off sync for good?? Nothing against anyone using it but I have ZERO need for it but yet one deck becomes a master and controls the other deck.
Can you post a video of what you are describing.
Hold down shift and press sync.
How is that possible when You don’t activate it? Master is always present, but sync happens only when You press the sync button.
Turn off quantize and change beat sync to tempo sync in the settings.
This worked, sorry for the late reply, long week. So two things, I wasn’t waiting long enough for the analyzing to take place on tracks its never played so it would not control. The shift + worked. It got stuck and not matter what I did one unit would still try to sync so shifting out worked. I’m mostly a vinyl/Serato dj and the CDJs I have are Pioneer 400s. When I was playing out CDJ1000s were the standard so there is going to be a learning curve but I absolutely LOVE these players. So glad I went with Denon. Half the cost, more features and built like tanks.
In the settings You can set the sync button to toggle or leave it on Shift+ sync to deactivate.
Until Engine Prime has accurate dynamic beat gridding, the sync feature will forever be awful. I am baffled people manually adjust thousands of beat grids on all of their tracks, just to use sync on the Denon Prime series. People who accept this form of beat gridding are part of the problem.
If you’ve ever used VDJ, Serato, etc., you don’t need to adjust the beat grids on the tracks EVER because their beat gridding is accurate.
Moin @djbertie,
I fully agree to your meening and I have my stress with this function as well.
But I always try it again, again and again and I’m always surprised once more that it doesn’t match as expected.
I started twice a similar request and it’s a never ending story as well, as the issue still exsits. https://community.enginedj.com/t/flexible-beatgrid-ability-to-set-a-manual-downbeat/36984
Pls keep on trying, don’t give up and one day it may work properly.
And hope will never die and you never walk alone.
Brgds
