Turn off MIDI 2.0 from VirtualDJ settings ❤️

It’s quite clear to see from all the recent posts concerning MIDI issues due to Microsoft’s KB updates, that there are a lot of people out there like that.

Anytime I see a post that says “I uninstalled it and reinstalled it” I see a red flag.

Recently I saw one where the guy wrote that he uninstalled and reinstalled more than ten times. If it didn’t work the first time, why the….???

Some people completely reinstall their OS :man_facepalming:

Of course asking ChatGPT is the latest one :eyes:

That was my first thought with this nice simple solution of using VDJ to turn off the MIDI 2.0 stuff - you can’t go wrong.

Yes agreed, however the original issue started to appear 2 months ago and at that point there was no simple solution.

I always completely block Windows updates then install them when it’s quiet in January after taking a disk image first.

It’s amazing how the greater percentage instantly blamed the VDJ updates whilst completely ignoring the windows updates that had also gone in around the same time.

Windows just winds me up these days, i use a surface laptop 4 at work with W11 and its horrible, im currently sat in our office listening to the fan blazing as we speak, thanks to the bloatware that is teams… ill never have a Windows computer at home again, been on Mac since 2010 and outside of the Rane SL3 driver problem, they have been flawless for DJing.

I dont blame people for using them though, especially if they like office tasks or gaming (there is no comparison for those tasks) but MS have completely wrecked their OS. Im sure they need to do a ground up rewrite at this point.

The workaround and information are posted here.
