Top screen is gone in my X1800... Help!

Hello everybody

I’m a Denon prime series user since 3 weeks ago. Last night I was at home preparing a session with my SC5000Ms & X1800 and everything it was ok until I realised that one of the screens (the one on top) was completely black… no info at all. The bottom one is ok. The problem is still there. Have anyone had the same issue?? Or know how to solve this? Thank you all. Javier.

There is no magic solution (“press this button…”). Contact the shop where you purchased the mixer and/or Denon support.

This sounds like a technical issue. Please contact support https://denondj.com/support

Hey man, Got the same issue, curious how yours resolved. I’m writing to denon support right this moment, but also wanted to learn other’s experience. Please share a few bits about your resolution. Thanks a bunch!

When my mixer got broken (Fader one became lose after short time after I bought it), Denon solved it very fast, and it works great till today

NoiseRiser, Thank you for the feedback!

Boy, reading the story, the same thing happened to me. Yesterday I turned on my sc6000 and x1800 for some tests at night and when I decided to play with the effects of the mixer (bang!) where is the name of the effect? Yes, the top black LCD! Nothing appears! Just a lighter strip in the middle!:cry:.

The big problem is that here in Brazil, it’s not just "calling Denon supportThe big problem is that here in Brazil, it’s not just “calling Denon support”, Since there is no support here! :folded_hands::pensive_face:

I expected to find some report of an attempt to update firmware, reset or something, or that some equipment technician solved it by doing something simple! Yes, because it is in any technician that I will have to take when I decide to solve the problem! 5 years of use only in my studio! It’s strange that this happens like this! But it can happen, right!

In a perfect world nothing would go wrong. However… even Rolls Royce have a service department.

It’s rare for one of the mixer displays to go wrong. As seen from the way that the thread you’ve posted on is 8 years old

The screen part can be obtained and then a local computer or hifi repair store could do the repair for you.

Newsflash…. Wouldn’t it be good, if the was a button you could press briefly, which swapped the displays on the upper and lower screens on the x18 mixer so if one of the screens “went” then you could still see the output by toggling both screens worth of data in one screen

You can buy this screen - it is exactly the same as in the mixer:

Man, that’s interesting—if I can find it easily! |

Aliexpress? Maybe?
